She was second–guessing her relationship, and
I kept on pushing. “You were hurt because you
believed everything he said.”
She looked suspicious. “What are you trying to
say?”
“He told you that he helped you get my job, but
that wasn’t true. If he had been on your side,
you’d have got the job! We wouldn’t be having
this conversation!”
She looked at me. “You’re just trying to get
between us. He hates you, he’s not going to
help you get a job.”
<
“Are you sure about that?”
She started to think and I kept pushing.
“If he did have your back, why did you not get
the job? He’s your family, but you’re…not.”
I didn’t need to say anymore.
She exploded. “We are friends, and classmates,
we grew up together. What do you know about
us?”
I just shrugged. “You’re his favorite, the one he
would always choose. But what about him?
Does he actually care about what you want?”
“He has been telling me what he’s going to do
to me the whole time, from the beginning. All
that family stuff, it’s all just fake. It was all to
get you. But even he couldn’t do that. It’s so
sad that someone like him wouldn’t care when
<
he finally got the chance to be with you.”
Her eyes started to focus on me, and I saw the
pain.
I couldn’t feel any sympathy for her. All I could
think about was the pain she had caused me.
She stopped talking, I saw her jaw clench, she
was about to take action.
I looked at her and said “Oh sorry, you probably
just found out the truth, but you’re better off
knowing it, right?”
I walked away, and I could hear the sound of
her throwing things.
I smiled, your day is coming Jake.
I found out that Tiffany had been stalking Jake,
and found him in bed with another woman.
Jake had tried to get out of the situation, but
the more he tried to convince her, the madder
she got.
She lost control and used a knife that she had
brought with her, to stab him.
Even when the ambulance came, she stopped
them from helping him.
He managed to survive but is now in a bed and
unable to move.
Tiffany was charged with assault and has been
given a 20 year prison sentence.
That was karma in action.
