“Ungrateful daughter? You were never truly my father. You never raised me a single day, and now you expect me to be respectful toward you?
“You’ve already gained plenty from the Marsh family for the past six years, haven’t you? Are
still not satisfied? Do you think I’ll listen to you like I used to? That’ll never happen!”

She had endured long enough in the Marsh family, and she sure as hell wasn’t going to keep enduring. Paul’s expression twisted as the murmurs of onlookers reached his ears. Embarrassment quickly turned into fury.
“Elena Larson, you’ve really grown bold. If it weren’t for me, your mother would’ve died long ago. And without me, you never would’ve had access to the Marsh family or lived that luxurious life!
“You owe the Larson family, and you owe your sister, Evangeline! What’s wrong with helping the Larson family out a little? Be smart about it and go back with Robin and Kaney.
“Manage the household properly, and stop having those wild thoughts. That’s the best thing for both you and your mother.”
Elena let out a cold laugh when she heard this and looked toward Robin in the distance.
“Robin, is that what you think too? Did you call Mr. Larson here to pressure me to go back?
“If this is your way of trying to force me, then I’m afraid you’ll be very disappointed. My mother and I have no feelings for him at all. I stayed out of obligation back then, but now that it’s over, whatever happens to the Larson family has nothing to do with me.

She stood alert as if she could throw them all out that very moment. Willow and Mollie came to her side as well, standing firmly with her.
Robin’s eyes darkened, and he quickly explained “Elena, I didn’t call Mr. Larson here. If you don’t want to see him, I’ll have him removed right now.
“From this moment on, the Marsh family will withdraw all support from the Larson family.
Let them fend for themselves.”
Paul panicked completely when he heard this. He was left flustered and at a loss.
“No! Robin, you can’t do this! I’m your father–in–law!
“I’m Evangeline’s father! You and Evangeline loved each other so deeply! Are you going to destroy me now that she’s gone?
“If she finds out about this wherever she is right now, she’d hate you for it!”

“Enough!” Robin cut him off sharply.
“Evangeline hated you when she was alive. If you hadn’t been such a womanizer, leaving heartbreak everywhere you went, her mother wouldn’t have died so young from grief. And Evangeline wouldn’t have ended up so sick, either.
“You bled her dry for years–and now you’re after Elena too? I won’t tolerate you any longer!”

s soon as his voice dropped, two bodyguards stepped forward and dragged Paul away, ignoring his thrashing and shouting.
Kane watched coldly and added his own command, “He treated both my moms badly, so lock
him
up for a few days and let him starve. Then, toss him in the dog cage and let him fight for food. Don’t let him out until he says he’s sorry ten thousand times to each of my moms.”
Paul completely broke down when he heard this, screaming in despair. “Kaney, I’m your grandpa! How can you side with someone else? Please, help your grandpa!
Even so, no one paid the slightest attention to his cries. Elena remained unmoved, and she didn’t soften toward Robin either.
“Is the Marsh family really so free lately? Aren’t the two of you busy? You’re not even worried the Marsh family might be in trouble?”
Before Robin could respond, she let out a faint laugh and continued, “I reported the Marsh family with the evidence I had. If I counted right, they should be notifying you now.
