Chapter 80
At that moment, Vivian suddenly spoke up.
“If there’s a problem, we should focus on fixing it. Right now, the best course of action is to use a more advanced lab to handle the issue.”
The group snapped out of their frustration, realizing she had a point.
However, something about the situation felt off to Stellar.
Still, there was no time to dwell on it.
The team quickly made their way to the higher–tier lab, only to be stopped at the entrance once again.
“Sorry, but our team has reserved this lab for today,” Alex said, arms crossed.
Then, as if remembering something, he added with a smirk “Oh, and just so you know, we submitted the request in advance. No rules are being broken this time, right?”
Simon, as the team leader, stepped forward to negotiate.
“Alex, could you do us a favor? We urgently need the lab, just for thirty minutes. We’ll make it up to you next time.
“I
“Simon, it’s not that I don’t want to help,” Alex replied with a feigned look of helplessness. “But our team needs it just as badly. I can’t sacrifice my team’s progress for yours, can I?”
Stellar cut straight to the point. “How long do you need it for?”
“Hmm, let me think…” Alex stroked his chin, pretending to consider it before shrugging. “About… an hour? Maybe two?”
Stellar’s expression darkened.
He was obviously lying.
And regardless of whether it was one hour or two, they didn’t have the luxury of waiting.
At most, they had an hour before the materials they had been working with would exceed their electrolysis time.
Without the right equipment, the entire batch would be ruined, and days of hard work would go down the drain.
“Alex, we really need the lab. If we don’t use it now, all our work will be ruined. Can’t you let us go first?”
Even Lilian, who was usually stubborn and strong–willed, softened her tone and pleaded, “We’ll treat you to dinner and karaoke afterward, how about that?”
Alex let out a mocking laugh. “Funny. Weren’t you the ones preaching about first come, first served last time?
“Besides, if your data is messed up, that only means someone in your group wasn’t competent enough. Bringing trouble to the team is what caused this mess in the first place.”
He raised his chin arrogantly, his taunting gaze landing directly on Stellar.
“If you want to blame someone, blame the weak link in your group.”
At that moment, Stellar finally saw through him.
Alex was deliberately targeting her.

Chapter 80
He must have known about their issue in advance.
Someone had tipped him off, which was why he was smugly blocking them from the lab, waiting to watch them fail.
His own team wasn’t even fully there–what kind of experiment could they possibly be running?
With a sneer, Alex turned and shut the lab door in their faces.
“Hmph, if someone hadn’t rubbed Alex the wrong way, maybe this situation wouldn’t be so hopeless.”
Vivian, who had been quiet until now, spoke up with a sharp, sarcastic remark.
“Vivian, is this really the time for that?”
Lilian couldn’t hold back her frustration.
“Why are you blaming Stellar for this?”
“Am I wrong? Back in our old research group, the four of us worked together perfectly. We never ran into problems like this.”
Vivian had clearly been holding back resentment for a long time, and now she finally found the perfect moment to let it out.
“Ever since an extra person joined, the balance we had was completely ruined.”
“Vivian, now is not the time to turn on each other,” Simon said, his headache worsening.
But Vivian had no intention of letting it go so easily.
She had been waiting too long for this opportunity.
“We worked so hard, and now all our efforts are about to be wasted. Shouldn’t a certain someone take responsibility for that?”
Silence fell over the group.
