Chapter 15
Stellar paused for a moment, guessing that Claude likely saw what had transpired earlier. Yet, out of respect for her, he chose not to intervene or ask questions,
Her heart warmed at the thought, and a genuine smile spread across her face.
“I will. Thank you, Uncle Claude. Drive safe.”
She waved him off as he left before heading back into the villa.
Later that evening.
After a relaxing hot shower, Stellar stepped out of her room, only to receive an unexpected phone call–from none other than Percy’s mother, Margaret Farrell.
“Stellar! It’s so good to hear your voice!” Margaret’s tone was syrupy sweet, just as it always had been. “About what happened at the restaurant today, I wasn’t ignoring you on purpose. You know how much I’ve always cared for you, don’t you?”
Her words sounded warm and familiar, but Stellar had long since seen through the façade. She didn’t respond, keeping silent on the line.
Margaret, sensing the lack of engagement, grew impatient
“Are you holding a grudge against me? You must understand the position you’re in now. The Harlows don’t accept you, and Percy’s engagement to Yvonne was arranged long ago. It’s only natural that he marries the true Harlow heiress. You can’t blame anyone but yourself for being born into a less fortunate family.
“Listen, the reason I’m calling is to ask you not to say anything inappropriate in front of Yvonne. Do you understand?”
It all became clear to Stellar. Margaret was worried about her stirring up trouble at the engagement party, afraid she’d ruin her son’s so–called happiness.
“Don’t worry, Mrs. Moore. I’ll only be attending the party as the ‘sister‘, nothing more. As long as no one provokes me, I won’t cause trouble for anyone. But if someone dares dig a pit for me, I won’t hesitate to push them into it.”
Her voice was even, but her meaning was razor–sharp.
Stellar had never been one to take things lying down. She once suppressed her true self for the sake of love, and she now knew how foolish that had been.
She would never do that again.
Anyone who crossed her would pay the price–double.
However, Margaret completely missed the warning buried in her words.
“Lknow you’re a good girl, Stellar. You wouldn’t cause any trouble for Percy.”
Her dismissive tone made it clear she wasn’t taking Stellar seriously.
After all, Stellar’s years of selfless devotion to her son hadn’t gone unnoticed by Margaret.
Using a tone that felt almost like charity, Margaret added, “Well, when you have time, why don’t you drop by the house? It’s been a while.”

Chapter 15
Whenever Stellar visited, she always brought an assortment of expensive supplements, luxury skincare products, jewelry, and more. She’d even massage Margaret’s shoulders and back. Margaret found herself almost nostalgic for that pampering.
“No, thank you. Percy and I have broken up, so that wouldn’t be appropriate,” Stellar replied bluntly before ending the call.
Margaret stared at the phone in stunned silence for a couple of seconds, then frowned in irritation.
Stellar had never hung up on her before. She was always polite, attentive, and endlessly accommodating
It was true, Stellar was thoughtful and considerate, far more so than someone like Yvonne, whose spoiled nature often got under Margaret’s skin.
But no matter how well Stellar treated her, she couldn’t change the fact that her background wasn’t suitable.
After all, Margaret’s son was the CEO of Moore Enterprises. Only an heiress of similar standing could possibly be worthy of him.
The next day.
Stellar rose early, looking refreshed and full of energy. She beaded to the university, determined to excel in her
mentor’s assessment.
To prepare thoroughly, she decided to spend the morning at the library, researching materials to support her work.
The hours flew by as she immersed herself in her studies, eagerly absorbing every piece of information.
Returning to her familiar field filled her with a long–lost sense of purpose and fulfillment.
The past few years had felt like a waste, but now, she had a fresh start, and it wasn’t too late to reclaim what she
had lost.
As noon approached, hunger began to gnaw at her. She packed up her books and prepared to leave.
But just as she reached the library’s entrance, someone blocked her path.
A mocking male voice rang out.
“Well, well, Stellar Rivers. I heard you’re trying to make a comeback and join Professor Stone’s project group. Do you really think you’re still the hot commodity you once were?”
Looking up, Stellar found herself facing Alex’s sneering face.
“I bet you’re only trying this because you’ve been kicked out of the Harlow family and dumped by your boyfriend. Running out of options, aren’t you? Do you really think someone as washed up as you can pull it off?”
The memory of her slapping him still burned, and he had been stewing on it ever since. Now, he was determined to make her pay.
“It’s not your place to decide whether I can or can’t. Now, get lost,” Stellar retorted coldly before turning to leave. “You-“Alex’s jaw tightened as he ground his teeth in fury. His expression twisted into a mask of resentment.
“Who do you think you are, acting all high and mighty with me? Let me tell you something–getting back into this school won’t be that easy!”

A sly glint flashed in his eyes as he recalled overhearing something outside the dean’s office.
That afternoon, Stellar returned to the library, resuming her studies,
But at some point, she started noticing the change in atmosphere.
It felt like people were watching her.
Low murmurs drifted through the room, the words cutting through the quiet.
“That’s Stellar Rivers, isn’t it? The one who’s been gone for two years?”
“Yeah, that’s her. She’s trying to join Professor Stone’s project group. What a joke!”
“Didn’t she get blacklisted by the major investors? How does she still have the nerve to show up
here?”
Stellar frowned, her mind racing as unease settled in her chest.
When she glanced up, she locked eyes with a middle–aged teacher wearing glasses. He was studying her with a critical, almost condescending gaze.
“You’re Stellar Rivers?”
“Yes. Is there something you need?”
“The dean wants to see you in his office,” the teacher said bluntly. “He has something to discuss with you.”
The quiet whispers and stares made her uneasy, and her heart sank slightly as she headed toward the dean’s office.
Five minutes later, Stellar stepped into the dean’s office.
“Mr. Wood, you wanted to see me?”
As a former prodigy, Stellar brought numerous accolades to the school, many of which had been awarded to her by Jasper Wood himself. They were familiar with each other.
“Stellar! It’s been a while,” Jasper greeted warmly as he rose from his chair.
“I’ve heard you’ve been back on campus recently and are planning to continue your studies by joining Professor Stone’s project group. Is that correct?”
Stellar didn’t shy away. “That’s correct. Is there an issue?”
At her words, Jasper sighed and then fixed her with a more serious expression
“Since you chose to leave two years ago, starting today, you are no longer allowed to re–enter this school or join the project group.
A flicker of shock flashed in Stellar’s eyes.
“Why? There’s no rule stating that someone who leaves can’t rejoin. I’m willing to go through the proper assessments again.”
“You no longer have that opportunity.
-Before Stellar could respond, an arrogant voice cut through the room from behind her.
She spun around, only to see Yvonne strutting in, flanked by none other than Jonathan, who hovered protectively by her side.

“Oh, sister, of all the things you could’ve done, you had to go and offend Uncle Jon. And worse, speak to him so disrespectfully.”
She shook her head, a smirk playing on her lips, her tone depping with mockery, “You’ve really done it this time. Uncle Jon was so upset that he personally invested two million dollars into the project, with one condition: that you’re never allowed back on campus.‘
Stellar’s heart sank.
She turned her gaze to Jonathan, disbelief etched across her face.
