Chapter 50
The sales associate nodded and retrieved a bamboo–inspired hairpin.
The design was sleek and sophisticated, with two finely carved bamboo leaves at the tip, giving it a realistic, almost lifelike appearance.
Its vintage charm made it the perfect piece for an older woman
Stephen examined it closely.
“This one. Wrap it up.”
There was something unique about her designs–an undensable artistry.
His grandmother would probably like it.
Meanwhile, after leaving the boutique, Stellar and Suzy strolled through the shopping district, planning to pick up a few more things.
Just then, Suzy’s phone rang
“Hello-?”
She listened for a moment, her expression shifting
After hanging up, she let out a sigh, looking disappointed.
“My agent just called. I need to rush back for a last–minute shoot. I’m sorry, Stellar. I really wanted to have dinner with you tonight.”
Regret was written all over her face.
“It’s fine. Work comes first.”
She knew how hectic Suzy’s schedule was–filming late into the night, sometimes going days without a proper break.
The more glamorous the career, the more exhausting it was behind the scenes,
But this was the path Suzy chose, and despite the exhaustion, she thrived on it..
Stellar smiled, watching her leave.
Once Suzy was gone, she decided to call it a day and head home.
Turning a corner, she was about to cross the street when a deep, rumbling sound suddenly echoed from the distance, growing louder and closer.
She froze, instinctively looking in the direction of the noise
A motorcycle was speeding toward her fast.
She was standing on the curb.
There wasn’t even a vehicle lane here.
Yet, something about the way it moved…

It was coming straight for her.
Before she could react, the motorcycle had already closed in
And then, it jumped the curb, heading straight for her.
Stellar’s eyes widened.
Her body instinctively moved, but in that split second, she realized that it was too late.
The motorcycle was only inches away.
At that split second, a tall figure lunged forward at lightning speed.
“A pair of strong arms wrapped around Stellar’s waist, pulling her out of harm’s way as they tumbled across the grassy embankment.
The motorcycle roared past, missing her by mere inches.
The rider, realizing the target had disappeared from view, instinctively slammed the brakes
The tires screeched against the pavement, the sharp, grating noise sending a shiver down the spines of nearby pedestrians.
People turned toward the commotion.
“What happened? Was there an accident?”
“Did a motorcycle hit someone?”
Gasps and murmurs filled the air.
Sensing the situation turning against them, the rider hurriedly revved the engine, trying to flee.
But just as the bike lurched forward, the man beside Stellar sprang into action.
With a single, powerful leap, he closed the distance in an instant.
Then, he delivered a kick.
A solid thud echoed as his boot connected with the motorcycle’s side.
The b
bike wobbled violently before crashing onto its side, sladding to a halt.
The rider tumbled off, their helmeted head slamming hard against the pavement.
If not f
for the helmet, the rider might have suffered a concussion.
Before the rider could recover, the man strode forward and yanked the helmet off.
Stellar’s eyes widened in shock.
She clutched her scraped arm as she pushed herself up from the ground, staring in disbelief at the disheveled figure slumped on the pavement.
It was a familiar face.
“Camille Dawson?! It’s you!”
“So, what if it is?”

Caught red–handed, Camille pressed her lips together, but her eyes burned with venom.
Red–rimmed and filled with seething hatred, she glared at Stellar like a cornered beast.
“If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have been kicked out of school! You ruined everything I had! What’s wrong with letting you suffer a little?”
Camille hissed, her voice filled with malice.
Stellar was utterly stunned by her madness.
It was her own cheating that had been discovered, yet instead of feeling any remorse, Camille tried to run her down with a motorcycle.
She was beyond redemption.
Stellar’s gaze turned icy.
At that moment, the man beside her spoke up, his tone cold and merciless.
