Chapter 65
Agonizing pain exploded from the back of his head, rippling through his entire body like a shockwave, as if his organs had been forcibly jolted out of place.
Percy nearly coughed up blood.
He could hardly believe what had just happened before his eyes.
Mary had long harbored resentment toward this wretched man who had bullied Stellar.
However, without Stellar’s permission, she didn’t dare to act
She had been holding back all this time.
However, who would have thought he’d actually dare to break the priceless hairpin that Stellar gave her?
It was a gift filled with Stellar’s heartfelt sentiments!
So, Mary could no longer endure it.
While Percy was still struggling to get up, she launched another furious attack, landing each blow on the most painful spots.
Even the manager, who initially planned to call security, was dumbfounded.
Stellar was completely stunned.
She couldn’t believe the elderly woman in front of her was Mary.
Then, the sharp sound of something snapping echoed through the air–like a bone breaking.
“Ah-!”
Percy let out a furious roar of agony.
“Stop! I’m calling the police!”
His face was ashen as he forced the words out.
He desperately reached for the store’s emergency alarm button and slammed it down.
For a moment, silence filled the air.
Percy finally exhaled in relief.
But the moment the alarm stopped ringing, Mary collapsed onto the floor in a dramatic heap.
n, with a piercing wail, she cried out, “Help! Someone’s attacking me!”
Then,
The entire store fell into stunned silence.
Stellar never would have imagined, even in her wildest dreins, that Mary, well into her fifties, could move with such speed and precision in a fight.
It was obvious now–Mary had training
Stellar had always suspected there was more to her than met the eye.
She was always so composed, so dignified in her daily demeanor.

And yet, without a moment’s hesitation, she had just thrown herself onto the ground like this….
Uh… what?
Percy struggled to get up from the floor, his body aching all over.
But when he saw that the old woman who just beat him senseless took the initiative to throw herself onto the ground, acting as if she were the victim, his face darkened, his fists clenched in frustration.
By the time the police arrived, Mary was still lying on the ground, wailing pitifully.
“Officer, help! This young man assaulted me!”
“Officer, don’t listen to her nonsense! She attacked me first, and now she’s trying to play the victim!” Percy shouted, his anger barely contained.
The leading officer frowned, glancing down at the frail, pale–faced woman on the ground before looking up at Percy–tall, well–built, and visibly unharmed.
“Sir, do you take us for fools? This lady is well into her years. How could she possibly overpower you?”
Nobody would believe such a thing
If Stellar and the store manager hadn’t witnessed it themselves, they wouldn’t have believed it either.
Percy’s forehead throbbed with rage, veins bulging as frustration surged through him.
Then, suddenly, an idea struck him.
“Then the injuries on my body should serve as proof!”
With that, he yanked up his shirt, exposing the bruises and welts across his waist and abdomen.
“Now do you believe me?”
The leading officer instinctively glanced at him, then gave him a look as if he were an absolute idiot.
With strained patience, he asked, “Where exactly are these injuries?”
Percy froze.
He quickly lowered his head and looked down–his waist, his abdomen, and every spot that had been ruthlessly beaten just moments ago was completely unmarked.
His skin was smooth and unblemished with not a single bruise or trace of injury in sight.
“This… how is this possible…”
The pain was excruciating, yet there wasn’t a single mark lift behind?
“Then what about my broken bones…”
He hesitantly moved his arm and felt perfectly fine.
There was not a single fracture.
What the hell was going on?
