Chapter 71
“Stellar!”
The first face that flashed through Percy’s mind was hers, and the mere thought of her name made him grit his teeth in anger.
But soon, the hazy memories from last night started coming back
Towards the end… it wasn’t Stellar who took him away.
It was Yvonne.
And yet, she actually dumped him on the side of the road and left him there?
At that moment, his disgust for Yvonne deepened even further.
Furious, he stormed away from the scene.
Meanwhile, on the other side of town.
Stellar spent her entire day at the research institute, buried in her latest experiment.
For once, no one had caused trouble for her, and she enjoyed a rare, peaceful day.
Just as she was about to leave, her phone rang.
“Babe, I finally wrapped things up on my end. How about a dinner date?”
Suzy’s lazy, sultry voice carried an irresistible charm.
Stellar couldn’t help but smile, her tone softer than usual.
“Sure! Where are we meeting?”
Suzy rattled off an address.
Stellar paused for a second but agreed without hesitation.
“Mary, I’m having dinner with a friend tonight. No need to prepare anything for me. I’ll be home early.”
After sending a quick message to Mary, she headed straight to the restaurant–a private dining spot called Bailey’s Bistro.
The moment she stepped inside, the rich aroma of freshly prepared dishes filled the air.
The place was lively, bustling with patrons, full of warmth and energy.
Stellar had come here many times before with Suzy.
They always picked a window seat and ordered a table full of food.
She always loved the flavors here.
As soon as Stellar stepped inside, she spotted a familiar figure by the window, just as expected.
Well, well
well, look who finally decided to grace this place with her presence,” Suzy teased, lowering her sunglasses just enough to flash a playful smirk.

Stellar shook her head helplessly
Back when she was with Percy, he turned his nose up at this place, claiming it lacked elegant music, opulent decor, and the sophistication he deemed necessary for fine dining
He outright forbade her from coming here.
So, she hadn’t.
Not until now.
But she knew Suzy meant no harm, so she responded easily “I’m back to being myself now. Of course, I’m going to start living the way I want to.”
Η
Suzy gave an approving nod and shot her a thumbs–up. “Finally! See? The second you ditched that loser and stopped letting him control you, everything just fell into place, didn’t it?”
Stellar chuckled.
“It really did.”
She was the one holding herself back all these years.
She would never do that again..
“By the way, have you ordered yet?”
“I was waiting for you,” Suzy said, pressing the service bell
A moment later, a striking woman approached.
She wore a fitted red silk dress with a high slit, her features refined and elegant, exuding effortless charm and confidence.
“Well, if it isn’t the two of you. It’s been ages! Are we going with your usual favorites today?”
Stellar blinked in mild surprise before her lips curved into a smile.
“Madam Bailey, it’s been a long time. You still remember what I like?”
“Of course! Miss Rivers, your favorites are always the spiciest and most flavorful dishes from Southport’s cuisine, “Lily Bailey said with a warm smile.
Both Lily and her husband came from Southport, bringing with them the most authentic flavors of the region
Back then, Stellar never understood why she was so drawn to Southport’s cuisine.
But now that she knew her true identity, everything made perfect sense.
Surrounded by familiar flavors, a fresh start, and a new sense of self, everything felt just right.
She smiled and nodded. “Let’s go with those and add a few of Suzy’s favorites too.”
Handing the menu to Lily, Stellar let her go prepare the order.
When she turned back, she noticed Suzy holding her phone her grin so wide it nearly reached her ears.
Curious, Stellar raised an eyebrow. “What ridiculous celebrity gossip are you reading this time?”
