Chapter 78
“If he ever loses his job, I can help him find one. But for you to look down on people like this, aren’t you afraid of karma catching up to you?”
That single sentence struck deep, sending a sharp tremor through Xavier’s heart.
“Stellar Rivers?”
Brian, one of Percy’s usual lackeys, naturally recognized her.
Upon hearing her words, he let out a cold laugh.
“Well, well, look who it is. Stellar Rivers. You’ve already been thrown out by Mr. Moore, barely able to take care of yourself, and yet you still want to help Xavier?
“You should know your place. Take my advice–stop making a fool of yourself and go apologize to Percy. Please him properly, and maybe he’ll throw you a lifeline.”
His eyes were filled with mockery and disdain.
His words were downright vile.
Xavier clenched his fists, about to speak up, when a cup of coffee suddenly flew through the air, splattering across
Brian’s face.
Suzy, standing to the side with an empty cup in hand, had shed her usual elegant demeanor and snapped back with a fiery retort.
“Screw you! Have you looked in the mirror lately, you pig–faced bastard? You think you can bully Stellar in front of me? You must have a death wish!”
Stellar was angry too, but before she could react, someone had already stepped in for her.
A wave of warmth surged through her chest, leaving her momentarily overwhelmed.
She stepped forward and gently grabbed Suzy’s arm, lowering her voice.
“Suzy, let me handle this, you—”
If someone caught this on camera, Suzy’s image would be ruin.
“I’ve been smeared by the tabloids so many times, you think I still care? No way in hell I’m swallowing my anger for some scumbag!”
Suzy rolled her neck nonchalantly, her long hair cascading over her shoulder before she pointed a finger right at Brian and continued her tirade.
“Look at you, fat–faced and pig–headed, talking big like you’re someone important. Maybe you should go home and take a good, long look in the mirror.
“Tell me, who’s the one here without a shred of self–awareness?”
“You… you dared to throw coffee at me? And insult me?”
Brian was in utter disbelief, his flabby cheeks trembling with rage.
“Who the hell do you think you are? Do you have any idea who you’re messing with? I can make sure you never survive in this industry!”

Chapter 78
Suzy let out a mocking laugh.
Without a second thought, she whipped off her sunglasses, revealing a stunning, effortlessly alluring face.
“I don’t change my name for anyone. I’m Suzy Walsh!”
“Suzy Walsh?” Brian’s eyes widened in shock.
She might just be a celebrity, nothing to fear on her own, but everyone knew that Suzy came from the Walsh family.
The Walsh family wasn’t at the top of the food chain, but they had one defining trait–they fiercely protected their
own.
Anyone who crossed them was in for a fight to the bitter end.
On top of that, Suzy had a massive presence in the entertainment industry.
And the Cooke family?
They were just a small–time family business, surviving solely by riding the Moore family’s coattails.
For a moment, Brian was at a loss for words.
Suzy smirked arrogantly. “Take a good look, you blind fool these people are under my protection.
“And let me tell you something, in our world, there’s never a shortage of good lawyers. You try to ruin someone’s career, and I’ll make damn sure yours goes down first!”
Brian spent his life throwing his weight around, relying on others‘ power to intimidate people.
But this time, he’d finally run into someone he couldn’t push around.
“You–you just wait! This isn’t over!”
That was all he could manage before turning on his heel to leave.
“Stop.”
Just as he reached the door, Stellar spoke, her voice cool and detached.
“Pass a message to Percy for me–if he wants trouble, he can come find me himself. Taking it out on others? That’s not something a real man would do.”
