Chapter 10
At Waverly Group, Dillon sat in a silver–white suil in the CEO’s office while his assistant nervously reported on work, afraid to make any mistakes.
Ever since Estelle went missing, his mood had been in constant turmoil. He was like a ticking time bomb, ready to explode at any moment.
As his chief assistant, Jimmy Pembroke was no exception. He put down the work he was doing and faced Dillon with composure. “Mr. Waverly, all the work has been reported.”
Dillon furrowed his brows, his finger tapping rhythmically on the table as if counting down time like a death clock. He suddenly lifted his head. “Haven’t you found her?”
Jimmy paused, then quickly realized he was referring to Estelle. He sighed and shook his head.
“They’ve hidden her well. We only found out that Mrs. Waverly went to the hospital, and after that, we lost track.”
Dillon’s frown deepened.
In an instant, a heavy, suffocating pressure filled the large office, making it hard to breathe.
Just as Jimmy felt like he might collapse, the door suddenly swung open, and Timothy stormed in furiously. He slammed a document onto the desk. “Sign it.”
Dillon glanced at it, then looked at Timothy. “What’s this?”
Timothy rolled his eyes. “Dillon, I know you and Alison are truly in love. Now that Estelle is willing to let go, hurry up and sign it. You two can get divorced. How exciting, right?”
“Is Estelle with you?”
If Timothy listened closely, he could hear the displeasure in Dillon’s voice. But he was lost in thoughts of Dillon’s wedding with Alison and didn’t notice Dillon’s strange tone.
Jimmy noticed, though.
He was a little surprised. It seemed that Dillon always put Estelle at the forefront of his attention, and this time was no different.
It looked like he truly hated Estelle.
Timothy nodded. “I’ve locked her up. Don’t worry. She won’t be causing trouble anymore.”
“Did you lock her up?” Dillon’s voice grew colder.
This time, Timothy realized the odd tone in his voice,
Timothy’s face darkened, and his tone was filled with displeasure as he asked, “Dillon, you don’t want to divorce Estelle, do you?”

Dillon didn’t speak, but the pressure in his cold eyes made it clear that he didn’t want anyone interfering with his matters with Estelle.
Timothy placed his hands on the desk, his gaze filled with displeasure. “You must divorce that troublemaker.”
This time, Dillon’s refusal was straight forward. “That might not be possible.”
Seeing Timothy’s confused look, he pulled out a report, showing it to him.
Timothy took the report and gasped. “Is she pregnant, too?”
Seeing his surprise, Dillon remained impassive.” didn’t want to marry Estelle, but she’s carrying my child. I can’t let my child be born illegitimate. After she gives birth, I’ll divorce
her.”
“No way!” Timothy quickly rejected again.
Then, he raised his hand. “My mind’s a bit scrambled. Give me a moment to think.”
It seemed like there was more to it.
Dillon gestured to Jimmy to leave the room.
Once Jimmy was gone, Dillon personally made coffee and placed it in front of Timothy. “She’s still part of the Sawford family. I’m sure you don’t want the Sawfords to be ridiculed.”
“But what about Alison?” Timothy asked.
Now, he understood why Alison wanted to abort the child. But why should she be the one to make that decision?
Timothy’s eyes darkened with resentment. “You’re planning to take responsibility for Estelle’s child, but what about Alison? She’s also carrying your child.”
“Alison’s pregnant?” Dillon’s eyes widened in shock, then quickly turned cold. “What does that have to do with me?”
“Dillon Waverly!” Timothy shouted angrily.
He slammed his hand on the table and gritted his teeth, reminding him, “Alison is also pregnant with your child. You can’t bear to have Estelle’s child be illegitimate, so what about Alison’s?”
Dillon was increasingly confused. But seeing the serious look on Timothy’s face, he couldn’t help but laugh. “Alison’s child has nothing to do with me.”
Then, he genuinely added, “I didn’t realize Alison had someone she liked. Well, I wish her the best…”
“My ass!” Timothy yelled angrily, then grabbed Dillon’s collar and glared fiercely at him.”

At that moment, Dillon finally understood what Timothy meant. He looked down at Timothy’s hands on his collar, then at Timothy’s furious eyes.
“You misunderstood. I have nothing to do with her, and her child is not mine.”
“I don’t believe it!” Timothy yelled at him angrily.
Seeing him in denial, Dillon shrugged helplessly. “Nothing happened between us. We’re just friends. If you don’t believe me, you can ask Alison, or maybe you misheard.”
Looking at Dillon’s expression, it didn’t seem like he was lying.
And since Timothy had known Dillon since childhood, he knew Dillon wasn’t the type to be an irresponsible scumbag. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been tricked into marrying Estelle.
After a moment of hesitation, his attitude became even more forceful. “Since Estelle is willing to divorce, then hurry up and sign the divorce papers. That way, you can be with Alison as soon as possible.”
With that, he hurriedly left.
Dillon looked at the divorce papers on the desk. Without even glancing at the contents, he threw them into the shredder, completely destroying them.
At the hospital, Timothy pushed open the hospital room door, only to find Alison on the phone, looking upset.
When she saw him, she quickly hung up the call.
He
thought he heard her mention something about sending money to someone. He looked at her with suspicion. “Alison, who were you talking to?”
“No one,” Alison replied stiffly with a forced smile.
He raised his hand gently to touch her face. “You don’t look well. Are you feeling okay?”
“I’m fine.” She stepped back, avoiding his hand.
Noticing he had nothing in his hands, Alison’s eyes quickly flashed with displeasure, though she quickly put on a gentle smile. “Timothy, what brings you here? Didn’t you go to see Dillon?
Thinking about Dillon, Timothy remembered what he had said. He glanced at Alison’s belly, wanting to speak but hesitating-
With just one glance, Alison noticed his troubled expression.

Her heart skipped a beat, and she asked cautiously, “Timothy, you didn’t tell Dillon that I’m pregnant, did you?”
