“Who died?” Timothy asked. He then glanced at the operating table and laughed out loud.
“Seth, is this another act you and Estelle are playing? There’s no way she could be dead.”
“Crazy,” Seth coldly muttered. He cast a disdainful glance at the four of them, seeing that they still didn’t believe Estelle was really gone, and he couldn’t help but laugh.
“You all killed her.”
“Impossible,” Dillon suddenly spoke. He stared at Seth, the invisible pressure of his gaze making Seth feel uneasy.
Soon, he shifted his gaze and scoffed. “Mr. Lancaster, are you that free to join her in this little game? Don’t you have anything better to do?”
Just another lunatic.
Seth looked away from him and scoffed. “Since you think this is all a show, you can leave.
With that, Seth turned to Bobby. “Estelle is your daughter, Mr. Bobby. What do you
o you say?”
Bobby snorted and put his hands behind his back with a look of contempt on his face. “I know this is just a trick to get our attention, but it’s her fault this time. She should just give up.”
Seth looked at Ethan next.
Ethan frowned. Though he didn’t say anything his stance was clearly aligned with the other
three.
Seeing this, Seth smiled bitterly. He threw the medical records he had prepared earlier at Dillon.
“Am I acting? Well, you’d better take a good look. Estelle has terminal stomach cancer. The chances of the surgery being successful were already slim, and because of your appearance…”
He turned and looked at the operating table, his expression filled with sorrow. “Because of
you,
the
surgery was interrupted. Maybe Estelle felt that you didn’t want her to live. She’s
cone !!
“Impossible!” Dillon countered again. He clenched his fists, the coldness on his handsome face intensifying.
There was no way that vile Estelle could be dead!
He stepped forward toward the operating table.
Mr. Waverly,
Just as he caught a glimpse of Estelle’s face, Seth immediately blocked his path. I think Estelle doesn’t want to see you anymore. There’s nothing else. You can leave.”
Chapter 35
Dillon’s gaze was sharp, staring at Seth as if trying to see through him and uncover his lies. But Seth met his gaze head–on with a calm expression, completely devoid of any sign that this was a joke.
After a brief pause, Dillon asked, “Was it because she had stomach cancer that you gave her the medication?”
Seth seemed to find the question ridiculous. He shook his head. “So, even believe Estelle has stomach cancer and think we’re just putting on a show?”
, you still don’t
The eyes of the other people in the operating room also shifted, filled with disdain.
Ethan was the first to regain his composure. He took the medical records from Dillon and began flipping through them. Soon, his brows furrowed as he asked in disbelief, “If she had stomach cancer, why didn’t she tell us?”
Seth mocked, “Did she have to tell you so that you could humiliate her and doubt her?”
“I…” Ethan was about to retort but paused, thinking back on how they had treated Estelle in the past. For a moment, he didn’t know how to respond.
“Ethan, it’s definitely him and that vixen putting on a show.”
“Show?” Ethan pointed at the operating table. “You go lie down there and act it out.”
Timothy’s face turned red and white with anger. He glared viciously at the operating table. He had even asked Wayne before, and he was told Estelle was doing fine. How could she have late- stage stomach cancer?
She had to be jealous of Alison and was pretending!
Timothy was going to expose her true nature. He pushed Seth aside and walked toward the operating table. He raised his hand, ready to pull her up, but the pale, deathly face stopped him in his tracks.
“Is she really dead?”
