Chapter 26
Since Estelle was supposed to be dead, she shouldn’t be here.
Timothy said, “Estelle, are you acting again just to get our attention? It’s been five years, and you…”
Madison couldn’t hold back and retorted sharply at Timothy, “Did a donkey kick you in the head, or did the door hit you? You look like a man but think like a fool.”
After that, Madison planted her hands on her hips and turned to Alison. “And you–why do you look so upset that Estelle made it back from the brink of death?”
Alison stammered, “I…”
She shrank behind Dillon, clinging to his arm as a shimmer of fake tears welled in her eyes. She lowered her head and dabbed at the corners of her eyes where no tears had fallen. “You’ve misunderstood me. I’m just really worried about Estelle.”
Estelle responded coldly, “I can’t handle your concern.”
She then cast a disdainful glance at the three of them. “Your acting skills are impressive. It’s a shame you didn’t debut in the entertainment industry. If you want, I can introduce you to an agency, and you can get an award for Best Actress.”
Alison’s expression changed several times. She clearly hadn’t expected Estelle to be so sharp with her words now.
“Dillon…” Alison called out, looking up at him with a pitiful expression.
However, Dillon was completely focused on Estelle, not noticing her at all.
Seeing this, Alison bit her lip hard, and a flash of hostility surfaced in her expression once again.
Estelle kept a close eye on Alison’s expression. When she saw Alison’s anger rise, she smirked knowingly.
“Let me guess. You’re going to say you have no ill intentions and are just curious why I suddenly came back to life after five years?”
“I won’t,” Alison denied instantly, shaking her head.
However, the hatred in her eyes was almost overflowing. She never expected Estelle to come back, let alone return without the slightest fear of her.
With Dillon staying silent for so long, Alison had no choice but to look to Timothy for help.
With just one look, Timothy’s expression darkened.
Chapter 26
He immediately stepped in front of Alison, shielding her. “You faked your death for five years, and now you’re back to bully Alison?”
Estelle simply shook her head. Nothing Timothy did could stir even the slightest ripple in her
heart anymore.
“We didn’t invite them,” she said calmly. “Please see them out.”
Julie, who knew a bit about the past between Estelle and these people, didn’t bother to be polite. She stepped forward and said coldly, “The three of you, please leave.”
Dillon didn’t move. He just stared at Estelle with shock written all over his face. “You’re the founder of Stellar Foundation…”
Hearing Dillon speak with such certainty, Estelle smiled.
It seemed Dillon was actually quite clever.
Meanwhile, Timothy and Alison stared at her in disbelief.
Alison quickly shouted back, “That’s impossible! How could she be the founder of Stellar Foundation?”
Stellar Foundation’s founder was a legend, and Alison couldn’t imagine Estelle being that
person.
However, Dillon connected the dots. Soon, a bitter smile appeared on his face.
Perhaps he had never truly understood Estelle from the start. Even the investigation reports were probably things she had deliberately hidden from him.
Estelle remained unfazed as she looked at Dillon, as though he were a complete stranger.
Dillon felt a pang of pain in his heart, and he lowered his gaze sorrowfully.
He was the one who had hurt her.
“You should get back to work,” Dillon said softly. “We’ll talk later.”
With that, he turned and left.
Seeing him walk away, Timothy glanced at Estelle, then quickly followed Dillon.
Estelle didn’t look back but continued toward the lobby.
After catching up to Dillon, Timothy asked, “Dillon, why are you leaving? Shouldn’t we be
getting some answers from her about the past five years?”
Dillon suddenly stopped, and a chilling intensity flickered in his eyes.
