Dillon’s expression flickered with confusion. “Child?”
Seeing his reaction, Estelle’s mockery deepened.
“What’s the matter? Are you trying to say you haven’t married Alison and that the child isn’t yours?” she questioned loudly, almost losing control of her emotions by the end.
Estelle let out a self–deprecating laugh. She didnt want to care, but Dillon’s behavior was too much. What did he think of her?
Dillon stared at Estelle for a moment, then lowered his gaze. He wasn’t stupid. He could tell Estelle had misunderstood his relationship with Alison.
Dillon chuckled in frustration. “Alison’s child isn’t mine. We’re not even divorced yet. How could I be with Alison?”
Before he could continue, Estelle slammed her hands onto the table, rising to her feet. She glared at Dillon. “What do you mean? What do you mean by ‘not divorced‘?”
At first, Dillon despised her so much that she even signed the divorce agreement, but in the end, they didn’t divorce.
Seeing her fuming with anger, Dillon felt a slight discomfort in his heart. “Aren’t you happy that we didn’t divorce?” he coldly asked.
Estelle sneered, “Why would I be happy? Dillon, don’t you find it disgusting?”
Dillon’s face changed in an instant, and his already cold eyes became even more terrifying.” Disgusting?”
He grabbed Estelle’s wrist, looking at her coldly.
As the tension between them escalated, Julie quickly stepped forward to mediate. “Mr. Waverly, weren’t you here to discuss a business partnership? Let’s talk calmly.”
“Who wants to talk calmly with him?” Estelle immediately retorted.
She forcefully shook off Dillon’s hand and took a few steps back.
Then, she mockingly said, “Dillon, wasn’t it you who called me disgusting? You wanted a divorce, and I agreed. But in the end, you didn’t go through with it. Are you not ashamed?”
Dillon remained silent, his gaze fixed on her, radiating a dangerous energy.
But at this moment, she no longer cared about anything. All she wanted now was to divorce Dillon and sever all ties with him, once and for all
Soon, Estelle calmed herself and firmly said, “Let’s pick a time and get the divorce over with.‘
Dillon replied, “Look at the proposal. The terms we offered are better than any other company’s. If you truly want to do business, you shouldn’t turn away from Waverly Group.”
With that, Dillon turned and walked away withou looking back.
“Get lost!” Estelle shouted, angrily throwing the proposal at him as he walked away.
However, Dillon was quick, and the proposal only landed at his feet.
Once he was gone, Estelle was so furious that her eyes turned red.
Julie quickly handed her a cup of coffee. “Calm down. Dr. Lancaster said you shouldn’t get too worked up right now.”
Estelle looked at Julie with frustration. “He hated me so much back then. Why doesn’t he want a divorce now?”
Julie lowered her head and fell silent. She couldn’t figure out what Dillon was thinking, either. Just as Dillon left, Timothy barged in, followed by his bodyguards.
He completely ignored the redness in Estelle’s eyes and got straight to the point. “Since you’re back, go home and clarify things with the people online. You’ve only been abroad for medical treatment these past five years, and it has nothing to do with the Sawford family…”
Estelle interrupted Timothy with a cold laugh, rolling her eyes at his words. “What do you take me for, Mr. Sawford? Even a mannequin has its temper. Why do you think I would listen to you?”
“Estelle!” Timothy shouted her name angrily.
