Chapter 43
Thugs?
Everyone’s gaze turned toward Timothy.
Ethan’s eyes darted back and forth between Timothy and Estelle before locking on Timothy.
Feeling the hostility, Timothy stomped his foot in anger. “Don’t listen to her nonsense,
Ethan. It’s her own fault for messing around.”
Seeing that Timothy wasn’t going to own up to it, Estelle snorted in disdain and said nothing.
Looking at the grave, her eyes were filled with sorrow. Everything in the Sawford family had changed after Aurora’s death.
It started with Bobby introducing Alison to the Sawford family. Then, Timothy stopped seeing her as his sister, and even Dillon started to hate her.
Ethan, who never cared about anything, started paying attention to Alison. Meanwhile, she
was cast aside completely.
Even after five years, Estelle was still heartbroken. What she went through back then had definitely left its mark on her.
Ethan turned to Estelle again. “Since you’re back, why not go home?”
Estelle muttered, “Home?”
She was amused. “Have you forgotten that I’m no longer part of the Sawford family, Mr.
Ethan?”
Seeing that Estelle’s eyes no longer held any of the affection she used to have for him, Ethan felt a pang in his chest. She subconsciously muttered, “No matter what, you’re always part of the Sawford family. You’re my-”
Alison freaked out and interrupted, “Ethan.”
Ethan glared at Alison right away, and she immediately felt a chill run down her spine.
She knew interrupting him like this would definitely upset him, but she had to do it. After all, she didn’t want Estelle to get too much attention from the Sawfords.
Before long, Alison sported a sweet, innocent smile and grinned at Estelle. “It’s great to have you back, Estelle. Did you come with Dillon today? Have you two patched things up?”
Timothy snapped, “Dillon!”
He then furiously glared at Dillon. “You still have a child with Alison. Are you really going to two–time like this?”

“They have a child already, huh?” Estelle thought to herself.
Her breathing hitched for a second, and then she let out a self–mocking laugh. How could she have forgotten something so important?
Dillon knitted his brows together, his voice tinged with frustration. “Alison and I-”
Alison’s face turned as white as a sheet. “Dillon!”
Dillon pursed his lips, and his expression darkened.
Alison smiled at Timothy and shook her head. “You’ve got it all wrong about me and Dillon, Timothy.”
After saying that, Alison turned to Estelle. “Please don’t get the wrong idea, Estelle.”
Estelle dismissively chuckled. “Relax. I know you and Dillon have nothing going on. I won’t take it the wrong way. Don’t worry about it.”
Alison’s face stiffened. A hint of irritation flickered in her eyes.
She thought to herself, “Damn it! This stupid bitch isn’t falling into my trap. She is supposed to cause a scene and throw some snide remarks.”
Estelle glanced at everyone. “If you have nothing better to do, it’s best not to talk here. After all, you’ve done so many bad things. What if a righteous ghost can’t stand it anymore and haunts you?”
Bobby suddenly shouted, “Shut up, you rascal!”
He glared at Estelle in exasperation, his eyes practically burning a hole through her.
But she wasn’t bothered by his anger and even grinned at him. She even nonchalantly remarked, “Getting so worked up isn’t good for your health, Mr. Bobby. You’re going to give yourself a heart attack.”
