Chapter 66
Timothy instantly lost his temper.
How dare Estelle actually talk to him like that? He stormed forward, glaring at Estelle with
fury.
“Why are you working with Mr. Pembroke?”
She chuckled lightly, folding her arms as she looked at him with curious amusement.
“Now this is funny. I developed a cancer treatment drug. Mr. Pembroke is a kind–hearted man. He wanted to do something for the people. So, he and I are partnering up. Is that really so strange?”
After speaking, Estelle’s eyes gradually turned sharp. Then she sneered again. “As for you, you’re deliberately making things difficult and spreading malicious rumors. Timothy, are you really making a joke out of millions of stomach cancer patients just to ruin me?”
“I…”
Feeling the overwhelming pressure, Timothy unconsciously stepped back.
Alison quickly grabbed his arm.
“Timothy, are you alright?”
Timothy steadied himself and shot a venomous glare at Estelle.
“Stop talking nonsense. I know you must’ve used some underhanded methods to get in with Mr. Pembroke.”
Alison chimed in, backing him up. “Yeah, Estelle, Mr. Pembroke is so old, how could you…‘
Before she could finish, Alison suddenly hid behind Timothy in fear.
Timothy shot a vicious glare at Estelle.
“What are you glaring at? Isn’t what Alison said true?”
He finished with a sneer, scanning Seth with disdain.
“You really are something, can’t stay away from men, huh? How pathetic.”
Estelle wasn’t angry. In fact, she chuckled.
“Yeah, you’re the one who’s pathetic.‘
Timothy’s eyes widened in anger. “What do you mean by that?”
Estelle smirked again, raising a brow.
Chapter 66
“What do I mean? Don’t you get it? I mean, you’re pathetic. Got it?”
“You…” Timothy was so furious his face turned red and his neck thickened.
Estelle actually dared to insult him?
He shot another menacing look at Jonathan. “Hey, Jonathan, what happened to your promise? Now you’re going to work with Estelle?”
Jonathan, who had been planning to slip away quietly, froze awkwardly when he heard Timothy.
He gave a strained smile, trying to play it off.
Alison shot Jonathan a cold look. “Mr. Glover, you’ve already accepted favors from Timothy,
and now you’re going behind his back to work with Estelle? Could it be that…?”
Her eyes turned suggestive.
Everyone in the room immediately understood what she meant.
Seth frowned in disgust, clearly irritated with Alison.
“Ms. Harrington, you’re a woman, too. Don’t you think that’s a bit harsh?”
Alison’s eyes instantly welled with tears as she looked at Timothy with a pitiful gaze.
“Timothy.”
Seeing Alison cry, Timothy immediately shielded her behind him, putting on a fierce face.
“Mr. Glover, I remember telling you–if you dare collaborate with Estelle, you’re going against the Sawford family. Are you able to afford the consequences of that?”
“Well…” Jonathan found himself caught in a dilemma.
He couldn’t afford to offend the Sawford family, but he also didn’t want to give up the profitable business opportunity.
Estelle hadn’t expected that Timothy would dare to throw threats around so openly. She clenched her fists tightly, her eyes full of cold fury.
She glared at Timothy, warning through clenched teeth, “Whether or not Mr. Glover works with me is not for some spoiled brat like you to decide. If this deal doesn’t happen today, Alison, don’t expect to have it easy either!”
“Are you threatening me?” Timothy asked, unable to believe it.
But Alison, still hiding behind him, wasn’t scared In fact, she seemed almost excited. The more things escalated, the better.
She hoped Estelle would act like a crazy woman and hit her,
