Those bodyguards had knives in their hands.
Estelle’s breath caught for a moment.
She managed to steady herself, her eyes reddened as she looked up at Ethan, feeling both wronged and overwhelmed.
“For the sake of a measly inheritance, do you really want me dead?”
Seeing that she was about to cry, Bobby smugly crossed his arms behind his back and gave Ethan a satisfied glance.
“You’ve done well.”
He then composed himself, his expression hardening as he looked at Estelle with disdain.
“Ungrateful wretch! If you don’t hand over the inheritance today, don’t blame us for the consequences.”
Seeing the utter lack of compassion in Bobby’s eyes, Estelle smiled again.
She glanced curiously at Alison.
“How about we do a paternity test? I feel like I’m not even a real Sawford family member, but you must be.”
“No!” Alison immediately panicked.
A sharp glint flashed in Estelle’s eyes, but she quickly sighed.
Lowering her head, she asked in a low voice, “If I don’t hand over the inheritance, are you really going to kill me today?”
“Of course!” Timothy immediately admitted.
In that instant, Estelle felt as if all the blood drained from her body, and her mind went blank.
She staggered back a few steps.
“Estelle!”
Madison, quick to react, grabbed her before she could fall.
Madison whispered urgently in her ear, “Don’t be afraid, I’ll go find Seth and have him come
to save you.”
“Seth is at the lab and probably can’t come out,” Ethan spoke again.
Estelle trembled slightly.

She stared at Ethan for a long time before finally letting out a bitter laugh.
“You’re committing a crime.”
Ethan showed no signs of remorse, his voice cold. “Hand over the inheritance, and I’ll let you all go.”
Estelle clenched her fists tightly, her eyes burning with intense hatred.
At that moment, there was a sudden noise from outside the room.
Marcus from next door had arrived.
Along with him was a group of well–trained bodyguards–or perhaps mercenaries.
The Sawford family had never seen Marcus before and immediately scrutinized him.
“Who are you?” Timothy asked bluntly.
Marcus smiled calmly. “I’m just a butler from next door. However, you’ve disturbed my boss’s rest. He said that if you don’t leave, I’ll have to throw you out.”
At these words, Timothy laughed dismissively.
“What do you think you are? Do you even know who I am, talking to me like that?”
Marcus remained unfazed, completely ignoring Timothy. He looked past him to Estelle.
“Ms. Sawford, are you alright?”
Feeling Marcus’s concern, Estelle smiled softly and shook her head.
“I’m fine.”
Marcus finally withdrew his gaze and turned back to Ethan.
“Mr. Ethan, if you don’t leave now, I’m afraid you may not be meeting with Mr. Cook
tomorrow.”
Ethan’s face immediately changed. His eyes, which had been cold, now held a complicated and probing look as they swept over Estelle.
Soon, he nodded at Marcus.
“I’ll apologize to your boss another day. I’m sorry for disturbing him today.”
Marcus smiled and shook his head.
“It’s no problem, as long as you leave now.”
“Ethan!” Timothy shot an annoyed glance at Ethan. “He’s just a butler!”
“Let’s go,” Ethan said curtly.

Before leaving, he turned back to glance at Estelle
“I’ll have my lawyer talk to you.”
From his words, it was clear they wouldn’t give up on Aurora’s inheritance.
