Estelle was stunned; she hadn’t expected Dillon to be so petty.
But if he really planned to go after Seth, it would definitely affect him.
After a moment of contemplation, she stepped forward.
She looked at Dillon with a blank expression. “What do you want?”
Seeing her compromise, Dillon smiled and gestured for her to come closer. “Come here.”
She bit her lip reluctantly, but walked over.
After only a few steps, Seth grabbed her arm.
He glanced at Dillon before gently speaking to her, “Don’t worry. Even if I lose the lab work, I can do something else. There’s no need for you to
”
Estelle interrupted him. “Seth, you and Rena should focus on developing more medicines that can benefit society.”
Dillon took a step forward and firmly wrapped his arm around Estelle’s waist.
He tilted his chin and provocatively said, “Dr. Lancaster, Estelle’s right. As a doctor, you
should focus on your own job and not interfere with other matters.”
With that, he turned and walked away with her in his arms.
Estelle, uneasy, looked back.
Dillon’s voice turned cold when she saw this. “If you keep looking back, I’ll start with Seth’s family members.”
She froze, her eyes turning red in an instant.
“Dillon, if you dare harm Seth, I’ll make sure Alison regrets it.”
At the mention of Alison, Dillon tightened his grip on her waist.
The sharp pain in her side made her frown, but she couldn’t help but let out a self–deprecating laugh.
He probably wanted to crush her heart right now.
Estelle quickly adjusted her tone. “We’re both tired of each other. There’s no need for
pretense. If you…‘
“Tired of each other?” Dillon scoffed. “We’ve got decades ahead of us. Saying you’re tired now is premature.”
Decades?

Estelle immediately felt a bad premonition.
She stopped and stared into Dillon’s eyes, as if trying to find signs of a lie.
But his gaze was too calm, with no hint of humor.
Estelle shivered involuntarily.
She looked at him, uneasy. “What do you mean by that?”
Seeing her face go pale from his words, Dillon found himself at a loss for words.
He unconsciously quickened his pace.
Once in the car, Dillon fell silent.
The two of them sat in silence as they returned to the villa.
Estelle wanted to ask him something, but he had already gone inside.
Brendan walked over and handed her a tablet. “Mrs. Waverly, here are the dresses for the banquet at the Sawford residence. Please choose which one you would like to wear.”
“Why am I going to the Sawford residence?” Estelle instinctively asked.
She wasn’t a masochist–why would she go there?
Brendan seemed surprised and whispered, “The invitation was from your father. He plans to adopt Ms. Harrington officially, and the adoption ceremony is this weekend.”
Estelle laughed upon hearing this.
“Alison is in her 20s, and she’s still going to be adopted?”
However, Brendan’s words reminded her of something.
Ever since she was a child, Bobby had been especially kind to Alison–even more so than to his biological daughter when Aurora was alive.
Could Alison really not be Bobby’s illegitimate child?
Estelle didn’t look at the tablet and went upstairs
She quickly called Madison. “Did you find anything about Alison?”
Madison immediately spilled everything she knew..
“You won’t believe how disgusting Alison is. Besides Dillon, she’s also involved with other men. She has already sent his son abroad.”
“Abroad?” Estelle was shocked.
“Yes. Can you believe it? I don’t know what your clueless father is thinking. Alison isn’t even a

member of the Sawford family. Why treat her so well and even raise her son? I wonder if she’s having an affair with that scumbag.”
“Probably not. He’s always been kind to her,” Estelle countered.
