When Caitlyn stalks towards me with a look on her face, I know Havoc may be right. She is
going to kill me.
“Come with me.” She says and I walk beside her, and we walk away from the main room. Ok Kaden, don’t be a damn p***y and tell her how you really feel about her daughter. s**t, she is armed. I’m no fool. I know what this woman is capable of.
Hell, she pulled a gun on me when I went to speak to Courtney and explain to her what happened with Chloe. But I didn’t even get to really speak when I was staring down the barrel
of Caitlyn’s gun.
“You better speak and make it fast.” Caitlyn says and I take a deep breath and look at the woman. No, not a woman. Right now, she is a predator watching her prey, like a cat with a damn mouse. A wolf in sheep’s clothing, a dragon protecting its treasure.

Chapter 102.
I was expecting to be shot or to argue with her. But I never expected it to be this easy. Not in my lifetime, at least. I was thinking I may have to runaway with Courtney and Amelia to Vegas. and marry there. This woman is full of surprises.
I look at her sheepishly and rub the back of my neck.
“I was kinda waiting for a full–blown showdown.” I say with a chuckle when Caitlyn walks closer to me and upholsters her gun.
“I can give you that if you really want it.” She says, holding the gun in her hand and I shake my
head no.
“I was going to ask her after all this has settled down and as for the ring, I have it. It is not
your average engagement ring. I picked something that is as beautiful as she is.” I tell her and Caitlyn smiles at me and puts her gun away.
“Courtney needs something to look forward to, but I agree too much too soon will make her
crazy. You let me know when, and you and I will coordinate how you want to do this. Welcome
to the family, son.” She says as she hugs me and I stand there like a limp noodle before I wrap
my arms around her and squeeze her back.
“Thank you, Caitlyn, I will never hurt her or my daughter. I give you my word.” I say to her when she chuckles and we pull apart.
“Oh, I know you won’t. It’s not her I am concerned about. It’s you. If Amelia is anything like her
mother growing up, you are going to need a s**t load of patience.” She says when she
chuckles and I do the same.
“Yeah, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. Courtney is it for me. Like I know you are it for
Wolf.” I say to her and she looks at me thoughtfully.
“We will see about that,” she says and we both walk back inside and go in search of Courtney
and Katya. I look at Havoc and he walks to me, sulking. Oh god what now?
“You’re alive, damn I was hoping to read my eulogy for you. It is a real tearjerker.” He says
when Caitlyn looks at him and he shuts up. Even Havoc, who is a psychopath, is terrified of
Caitlyn. Then again, her crazy over runs his.
“Sorry to disappoint you, asshole, but yeah, I live to fight another day. Where are Courtney and
Katya? I need to get Courtney back to Amelia.” I say and Havoc points to one of the rooms
that has the door closed.
I walk towards it with him behind me. I open the door and Courtney jumps to her feet and
moves towards me to check me over, and I smile at this.

“See, told you he would be fine.” Havoc says with a smirk on his face, and Courtney glares at
him.
“Katya, make it a month if he doesn’t shut the hell up.” Courtney says and Katya laughs and
Havoc looks at Courtney in shock. Ok, what did I miss?
“Da, I plan to.” Katya says with a chuckle at his expense. I need the tea on this when we get
back.
“See, cold–blooded.” Havoc says, looking sad. Courtney glares at him and so do I. Before
Courtney goes back to checking me over.
“What was going on with you and my momma? Did she hurt you?” She asks me and I smile at
her before I chuckle and kiss her on the tip of her nose before I kiss her on the lips.
“I’m fine. She didn’t do anything to me. Come on, your momma and dad will sort s**t here so
we can go back to our daughter.” I tell her with a gentle smile on my face. I place my arm
around her and she leans into my side as we leave the room and walk through everyone here.
“Good luck, Dad,” Courtney says, and it is then that I see Wolf with his arm around Caitlyn.
Caitlyn looks at me and gives us both a wink and I smirk at her. We will see for sure. I don’t
know who she thinks she is kidding. I know they love each other.
We leave the clubhouse and climb into the armoured vehicles. Tonight has been a lot to take
- in. I know Courtney is tired and anxious. I’m the same. We both want to get back to Amelia
and settle down, even if it is for a few days. Courtney still needs to rest, and I plan on making her as comfortable as possible.
I’m sure everyone will understand that she is still healing from giving birth. Well I know Caitlyn, wolf, Havoc and of course Katya will put people in their place. Courtney is the one who started all of this and she deserves a damn break and I will give her that, even if I have to cuff
her to the bed.
“I love you Courtney.” I say to her as I kiss her head and she melts against me. My nose pressed against her red hair as I breathe in her scent.
“I love you too, Kaden.” She mumbles with a yawn and I smile at her.
“Sleep baby, I will wake you when we get back.” I lift her and place her butt on my lap and
straighten her legs over the back seat as her head rests against my chest.
“No, I’m not…” she snores softly and I chuckle at her. Yeah, you’re not tired at all. I can’t wait to make this beautiful, fiery woman my wife.
