Book 2 Chapter 2.
Amelia POV.
I went over the designs with Leo and where he wanted it. He wanted the design on his chest. I got to work quickly. Cleaned the area and placed the stencil. Wrapped my tattoo gun in the grip tape and sorted the needles I would need, the colour, which was easy: he wanted blacks,
whites, and grey.
“Ok, you happy with the position?” I ask him again, and he smirks at me. I blush. Ok dirty mind, you can f**k off.
“Yeah, you sure you can do this? You look nervous.” He says and I roll my eyes and grab my
chair and roll it closer to the bed. I grab my gun and turn it on.
“Stay still. If you need a break, let me know and we will stop.” I say to him and he chuckles.
The buzz of the gun can be heard over the music in the shop. I begin the tattoo.
Leo and Colby are talking and I’m flying through the tattoo. I follow the lines and I know for
any other artist this design would take a good few hours. I pride myself that not only am I
quick, but I have an excellent eye for detail.
“Lia, Lia.” I look up and Leo and he is smirking at me, just laying on his back with hands
behind his head.
“Yeah sorry just lost in my work, you ok?” I ask him and he winks at me. f*****g hell. This is
not the time to be flirting.
“I’m good. How long will this take?” He asks, and I start the gun again.
“Not much longer, maybe an hour, max. Do you need a break?” I ask him because I am always professional.
“Nah, you do you babe,” he says and I really want this to be over quickly. After thirty minutes. I
stop the gun and look at the design on his chest. It looks amazing.
Leo had asked for a tribal tattoo, which will then go down his arm on his next visit. But as
much as I don’t want to be near him, I know no one else will do what he wants. So I’m stuck
with him, not that he isn’t nice to look at.
“I owe you an apology for how I acted before. That was not how I usually am. So I apologise Lia. You are an amazing artist.” He says and I look from his face to his chest to hide the blush.
“Don’t worry about it I’m used to it.” I say as I grab the cleaning solution and give the tattoo a

“Ok, have a look at let me know what you think.” I say as I roll out of the way and begin to remove the needles to put in the sharps bin and clear the station.
“Well, f**k me. That looks amazing.” He says and I look up as he looks at it closely in the
mirror.
“The red will fade to the grey. It will heal in about two weeks. I will give the after care instructions and then you can be on your way.” I say as he walks back to the couch. He sits down as I grab the second skin wrap and cut the amount I need and place it on the tattoo. I give him the advice and he thanks me before he schedules another appointment.
He pays and leaves me a hefty tip. He gives me a lingering look and leaves the shop. I feel myself deflate when the door closes.
“He was nice.” I turn to look at Colby, who is tattooing a woman’s thigh.
“Sure. Right, I’m going to clean up, have a quick bite to eat, and wait for the next client.” I say,
ignoring Colby and his words. He chuckles as I walk away like my ass is on fire.
The rest of the day goes quickly as I tattoo more clients and then it’s closing time. Colby has had a steady stream of barely clothed women, nothing new. But he is good at his job so I can’t really kick off.
By the time we have both cleaned the studio and left the shop. I’m exhausted. Oh shoot. I
need to get Beau his food and some goodies for the movie night with the terrible two.
“Have a good night Lia. Give Casey a cuddle and tell Roman I will kick his ass on COD tomorrow.” Colby hugs me and kisses my head. I chuckle at him.
“I will, right, got to go, enjoy your night Colb, remember to wrap it up and I don’t want the gory
details. See ya later.” I say as I head to my car. I climb in and drive towards the store. My
phone rings and I smile, seeing it is dad.
“Hey dad, what’s up?” I ask as I hear my mom talking to someone in the background.
“Hey baby girl, was seeing if you are on your way home?” He asks, then I hear the screaming
coming from Casey.
“Let me guess, the terrible two are driving you and mom up the wall?”
“How did you guess?” He says with a chuckle, and I smile as I climb out of the car. Locking
the car, I walk to grab a cart and push it inside the store.
“I’m physic. Right, I will be back soon, just got to the store. Do y’all need anything?” I ask, and

he chuckles.
“No, were good. See you soon. Love you.” He says and I hang up. I place the phone in my back jean pocket, not looking where I’m going, and crash the cart. Hearing a grunt, I look up.

“I’m so sor … Oh it’s you.” I say, looking up at Leo, and he smirks at me.
“Oh hey, we need to stop running into each other like this,” he says with an amused chuckle. I fight the urge to epically roll my eyes.
“Yeah, anyway. Got to run.” I say as I push the cart around him when he steps in the way
again.
“I know I was a jerk to you when I first met you this morning. But I would like to make it up to
you if you would let me.” He says, and I chuckle and shake my head.
“I’ll pass. No hard feelings. Anyway, I need to get going. See ya around Leo.” I say as I walk
past him and he chuckles. God above. I walk to the pet food aisle and grab Beau his food and
some new toys. I then head to the candy aisle and load up for tonight.
Once I have what I need, I head to the cash register and pay for the groceries in my cart and leave. I see Leo as he straddles a bike. Is he a biker? If he is more reason to stay away from him. I don’t go for bikers. I know what they are like.
Well, the ones I have been around are all amazing, yes there are few bad apples, but the majority are amazing, kind people.
Well, I am officially turned off with Leo. If he is a biker, then why is he here? He isn’t part of the club. I need to speak to dad, pops, and the family. Just in case Leo is trying to muscle in on our turf.
I drive home and all I can think about it Leo. No, stop it Amelia, he is not our type. I tell myself. Then I’m reminded.
“How would you know what your type is? You don’t date.” I say to myself as I drive up to the gate and wait for the gate to be opened and I roll through. I park the car in the garage and just sit there and think.
If I’m not attracted to him, then why did my body react to him? This is stupid. Leo is a good–looking man. He probably has a girlfriend, and here I am sitting like a lovesick fool fawning over a guy I just met. Get it together Lia.
I grab the groceries and my stuff and carry it all inside the mansion and decide to not think of him again. I don’t need a man in my life. I have my family and a s**t tonne of overprotective

uncles and aunties. I have everything I need right here.
But what if?
