Chapter 16.
Kaden POV.
We have been riding for hours since we left the hospital. I’m in the lead. Courtney behind me
and behind her is Storm. We are coming up to the service station and I signal to take the exit. I
need to stretch and get some food. I also need to check up on my girls.
Man, my girls, that sounds so right to me, but I know I still have to prove myself to Courtney that I am not the man she has painted me to be. I have been doing a lot of thinking on this
ride about what to do with Chloe.
When I get Courtney to Chief and no doubt receive a beating and possibly be shot in my d**k. I
will speak to Wolf about his little b***h of a daughter and tell him I want her dealt with for
what she did. I may have been drugged by her, but I don’t have the evidence to get her
arrested. I feel deeply ashamed by what happened back then.
I don’t want to be seen as a victim of rape because that is exactly what she did. Now if the
shoe was on the other foot and Chloe claimed I raped her, I would be killed for it. I don’t trust
Chloe as far as I can spit. She is like a black widow, small and poisonous.
The fact she has gone after Courtney more than once and I know it was her that sent that text message to Courtney that night has left me reeling. Wolf needs to control her before she gets herself involved in something she can’t get out of. She has no idea what kind of s**t storm
she has created.
But Courtney is not the one to f**k around with. My girl is strong and won’t take anyone’s
bullshit. Not even Wolf’s. I understand why. She and her momma had to survive because of
the threat to both of them.
Plus, Courtney is more like Chief with how she handles things. I ride into the massive parking
lot with Courtney behind me. I park my bike and dismount. Stretching out my back as

Courtney parks next to my bike and opens her door before she jumps down and makes a dash
to the food court.
“Where are you going?” I shout after her, and she holds her bump and waddles as fast as she
can.
“Bathroom.” She calls out over her shoulder and I chuckle as I follow her, just as Strom parks
and dismounts and follows me.
The rest stop has a mall, toilets, and a food court. It even has a motel. I follow behind

Courtney and she enters the ladies room, and I hit the men’s with Storm behind me.
“Ok, now that it’s just us two. What did you find on that prick’s phone?” I say as we stand side
side doing our business.
“Like I told Courtney, it’s …”
“f**k club business, I am a president of a club so stop with the bullshit and tell me.” I snarl at him and he sighs, leaning his head back.
“Chloe.” He says and I must have misheard him, Chloe? I look at him and zip my jeans up and I’m stunned.
“You mean Chloe as in Wolf’s daughter, that Chloe?” I ask in disbelief, and Storm nods his
head.
“The very same. It would seem that Chloe is more than a rat. Her mom is a club girl for the Brothers Of Mayhem. Well, that is the rumour, anyway.” He says with a shrug as he zips up his jeans. I stagger to the sinks and wash my hands and try to wrap my head around this bullshit.
“Wolf won’t believe it, even with the evidence on that phone.” I say to him and he nods his
head and sighs again as he washes his hands.
“Oh, I can imagine what she will say. She will say something along the lines of this i***t is an
ex–boyfriend, and he wasn’t affiliated with any club when she was with him. Or she will say
that he hit her up out of the blue for a hook–up.” Strom says and the more I think about it, the
more it makes sense.
The animosity towards Courtney, the need to cause Courtney to leave. She was waiting to get word to them to take Courtney. So that means…
“Chloe knows who Courtney is.” I say as I dash from the men’s room and walk into the ladies
room. I check every stall and she is nowhere to be found.
“STORM!” I call out and he walks inside and he looks at me.
“She isn’t here.” I grab my phone and dial her number and it goes to voicemail.
“s**t, I’m still blocked. Call her.” I say as I leave the ladies room and look around for any sign
of her.
“Where are you, Courtney?” I hear Storm ask and I spot her in a queue for food. This woman
will give me a damn heart attack.
“There.” I say, pointing at her, and she turns and waves. He hangs up after telling her to stay
put.

Chapter 16.
“We don’t tell her that it’s Chloe. She will want to turn around and head back. We can’t do that. We need to get her to Chief, and fast. I’m going to call my crew and see how far out they are.” I say to Storm as I walk towards Courtney.
I call Havoc, and he says they are just rolling into the parking lot now. Thank you God.
I sent them a text before we left the hospital parking lot, so it has been timed perfectly for them to arrive.
“Venom, we have got a situation out here. There seems to be some men checking out your bike and the cage. They aren’t wearing cuts. Stay where you are and we will deal with them.” Havoc tells me and I look at Storm as he helps carry the food and Courtney carries the drinks.
“Let’s sit down to eat, then we will leave. We have a few more hours to go before we get to Chief’s territory.” I tell them both and nod my head at Storm, and he kisses Courtney on her
head.
“Where are you going? Your food will get cold,” Courtney says to him, and he smiles.
“I left something on my bike. I will be right back.” He says and gives me a nod as he walks
back towards the entrance.
“Here, eat your food.” She hands me the burger, fries and drink.
“Thanks baby.” I say to her and she stiffens slightly. Right, don’t call her that. Not until I have
the right to.
“So, this is awkward.” She says as she dips her fry into mayo, then ketchup and finally BBQ
sauce. I just watch her and she smiles and closes her eyes as she chews the fry covered in all
that s**t.
“God, that is so good.” She says, rubbing her belly and I just watch her.
“How are you feeling? Is she ok? Are you ok?” I ask her and she opens her green–golden eyes
and nods her head with a smile.
“Yeah, we are both fine. Are you ok? You look like you are ready to shoot someone.” She says,
and I chuckle nervously. You have no idea.
“I’m good. Some of my crew have just arrived and will be in soon.” I tell her and she looks at
me and smiles really big.
“Oh, I’ve missed them. Are they really here?” She asks and I nod my head and eat my food.
“Yup, they have missed you too. We all have. I know I’ve said sorry so many times before
Court and I mean it. I would like to earn your forgiveness and try again.” I tell her, and she
