Chapter 42.
Courtney POV.
Staring at the two women on their knees in front of me, I smirk as I take them both in. They look dishevelled, their clothes are twisted, make up streaked down their faces and their hair
looks like rat nests.
“Where did you grab them?” I ask my grandpa and he folds his arms over his chest as he looks at them both as they sob. I’m not falling for it and neither is anyone else.
“Well, Chloe here checked in on her social media account, and so we moved. Took out some
of the Brothers of Mayhem that were close to the hotel and took them from there. The hotel
they were staying in was one of mine.” Grandpa tells me and I chuckle as I look back at the
two women who have miraculously stopped crying their crocodile tears.
“Grim will come for us and when he does, you will all die, but not you Courtney, we have plans for you.” Michelle spits and I walk closer to her and grab her by her face and look at her as
Chloe tries to get to me, but she is held back and she screams at me to leave her mom alone.
“No, I don’t think I will. After all, your mom is the reason my mom fled. So I think she deserves
a little taste of her own medicine, just like you do, my dear sister.” I will not let them know we
know the truth. Let Chloe and her b***h of a mother think we are still in the dark.
“Tell me Chloe, where is dad? Have you heard from him?” I ask her as I look at her and she
goes still before she thrashes again.
“He is back home, where he is doing club business.” Ha, silly little girl, she needs to learn to lie
better.
“Oh, ok then.” I say before turning my gaze back to Michelle. I move closer to her ear and
whisper.
“I know what you did. I know who you are. You may blame us for what happened to your family, so because you want your revenge, I think it’s only fitting we take ours against you and
your club. You made a mistake. You kept me and my momma alive. It was never her you should have worried about. It was me.” I say as I move back and look into her eyes once more
and she looks shocked.
“Oh, there was something I needed to tell you. What was it?” I say, looking at Kaden, then at
my grandpa.
“Oh, that’s right. Max is dead.” I say with a smirk on my face. Michelle looks pained and Chloe

looks smug. Evil little cunt!
“Who’s Max? Mom, who is Max?” Chloe acts confused, but there is no point as we know the
truth.
“Yeah, Michelle, who is Max?” Kaden asks with a sneer as he steps up to me and wraps his
arms around me from behind. Chloe is raging. I can see the hate in her eyes and I smile at her.
“I don’t know who you are talking about,” Michelle says, her voice breaking and it would hurt
me, but it doesn’t. It does nothing but make me smile on the inside. Even faced with her
potential death, she is still going to try to save her own skin.
So be it then. We can play along.
“Oh well, that’s a shame. I would have loved to have him taken to his parents and dumped on
their front steps. Such a young man, handsome too. But oh well. No point in doing any of that.
“I say to her and smirk and Michelle tries to get to me but is held in place.
“You will pay for this,” Michelle says, blowing her own cover, silly woman. I chuckle at her.
“Maybe, but in the meantime, you, me and my dear little sister will have a lot of time to get to
know one another. After all, Michelle, we are basically family. Isn’t that right?” I say, and she
winces and gulps.
“You share the same father, so yes, I would say we are.” I chuckle at her lie and shake my
head. I would rather slit my own throat than be related to any of these vermin.
“True, anyway. Take them away.” I say as two of the members lift them to their feet and they kick and scream as they are dragged away.
“Kaden, don’t do this. Think of our baby. You promised!” Chloe screams and Kaden laughs
obnoxiously at that.
“Yeah, I did, but that kid wasn’t mine and you know it,” Kaden says and Chloe screams more as another member walks to me holding two purses and I take them and thank him.
I walk inside the mansion and smile at Fabio and he is holding some kind of device in his
hand.
“What is that?” I ask, and he looks at the device and back at me.
“It is a bug finder. We use this to see if there are any tracking and listening devices on a person or in their personal effects.” I nod my head, impressed.
“Did
you wave your wand at our guests?” I ask, and he cracks a smile and nods his head.

“Yes, and they are both clean, well, clean of bugs. Not so sure if they are actually clean, you know what I mean. Anyway, let me wave my wand at their purses.” He says and I chuckle as Kaden rolls his eyes at me.
“What it’s funny.” I say, and Kaden growls.
“The only magic wand that will be waved at you is mine.” He growls in my ear and kisses my neck. I shiver in pleasure. He is playing dirty and I won’t allow that to happen.
I hand the purses over to Fabio and he tips the contents of one and all there is inside is a
phone, make–up, wallet, perfume, and a couple of baggies of white powder. That must be
Chloe’s. I watch as he checks the purse first and shakes his head nothing. He moves to each
item when the device screen flashes red over the phone. He nods his head and points to the
phone.
He does the same thing with Michelle’s bag. Her contents are the same, but she has a gun
and her purse also has a tracker stitched in the silk interior.
He takes the purse, gun, and phones and places them in a foil lined box. I look at it, full of
curiosity.
“Where is he taking them? And why the foil?” I ask my grandpa and he looks at me.
“The foil stops the signal from the tracker. He is going to remove the trackers and send them
away.” He says and I laugh, thinking how he will send them away.
“How?” I ask and he smiles at me.
“He will have our hacker, Richie, scramble the signal and place it nowhere near here. Then he
will shut the tracker down.” He says, and I nod impressed that our hacker can do that. I haven’t
met him. Apparently, he likes to be left alone.
“Cool, can he get a message to Grim?” I ask knowing he could, but I want to be sure.
“That is child’s play to him. Richie can do anything with a computer. So yeah, he can, why
what are you thinking?” Grandpa asks me and I think.
“We should let Grim sweat for a while. The tracker should have an origin, right? So if Richie
can trace the origin, then we have Grim’s location.” I say and he smiles, impressed.
“Well, yes, we aren’t amateurs, you know. Richie will find it and then we can go after Grim. What is your plan for the witches of Eastwick?” Grandpa asks, and I have no clue what to do with them just yet.
“Let them sweat for a bit. Keep them at opposite ends of the prison so they can’t talk to each.

other and watch them on the monitors.” I say to him and he nods his head.
“The rooms are soundproofed so they can scream all they want. No one will hear them. I want the truth out of them, Courtney. I want to know why Michelle did this exactly and what Grim is planning.” He says, and I furrow my brows as I think.
“I am starting to think that Grim is just the lackey at this point. Michelle is or was part of the mafia. I think she is the one pulling the strings and giving the orders.” I tell him my thoughts. and he nods his head with a sigh. He looks pained knowing this woman is the cause of our family being slaughtered. I’m surprised and impressed that he is keeping it together.
“I’m starting to think you may be right. Ok, I will call doc and get him to bring the serum. We will interrogate them and get what we need from them, then we can decide what to do with them.” He says, and I shake my head.
“I want them dead, but first we need the information. If Michelle is the brains behind all of this,
then Grim will be at a loss. Without the brain, the body dies.”
