Chapter 59.

Courtney POV.

The time is ticking away and now we wait for confirmation of the warehouse fire. I’m a ball of nervous energy and I am cleaning. I need something to do to ease the nerves.

What if it goes t**s up? What if Grim is waiting, and he knows we will hit his warehouse? No, that’s ridiculous. Grim is on a power trip right now and he thinks he is untouchable. Well, no

one is untouchable.

“Courtney, baby. You have been cleaning that spot for the last five minutes.” Kaden says with

a chuckle and I look down and I groan. God, he is right.

“I’m just so nervous. What if this goes wrong?” I say and my dad, Fabio, and Richie all chuckle.

“Baby, trust me. It won’t go wrong. Please come and sit down. You are going to make yourself sick with nerves.” Kaden says. How can he and the rest be so bloody calm? Oh, that’s why

they do this s**t all the time.

I sigh, throwing the cloth across the room and sulk my way to him and sit on his lap, leaning my head against his shoulder as he wraps his arms around me. His thumb rubs lazily over my

bump.

We sit in a tense silence, and I need to clean again. I squirm on Kaden’s lap and he tightens

his hold.

“Baby, stop, otherwise I’m going to have to take you to our bedroom and restrain you.” Kaden whispers in my ear and I shiver at the threat. Well, a promise really. He knows what he is

doing. He chuckles and kisses the side of my head.

A phone rings. It sounds so loud in the silent office and I stand up as Kaden takes the phone from inside his cut and I twist my hands, biting the inside of my cheek as he answers the

phone.

“Yeah, you

in position?” I don’t think I’m breathing when Kaden looks up at me and stands up

and walks to the desk and clicks his fingers pointing at Richie and he moves. I watch as the

four men move in sync, as Richie does something on the laptop.

“You know what to do? Good. See you soon.” He hangs up and smiles at me.

“Come and watch.” Kaden says and I move closer and look over Richie’s shoulder and it’s a

live feed of what is happening.

I see men dressed in black with guns make their way from the treeline and start shooting at Grim’s men. Then a black van pulls up and more gunfire could be heard coming from inside. the warehouse. Richie has hacked into the surveillance system that surrounds the warehouse.

Then crates and barrels being bought out and loaded into the van. The van leaves as three

men do something to the building.

“What’s that?” I ask, pointing at the screen.

“C4.” Fabio answers and I just slowly nod my head and then boom. I jumped again, clutching

my chest.

“Done. The crates and barrels are on their way to a secure location. Grim should find out in the

next few hours when he doesn’t hear from his men.” I nod my head and gulp.

“Richie, wipe the feed and plant a virus so that all the cameras in the area go down.” Fabio

says and Richie smirks.

“Already done. What do you take me for? Some amateur? Really Fabio, I’m offended.” Richie

says with a chuckle and types away.

“Sweetheart, you ok? You look pale.” My dad asks, and I blink and look at him.

“I want all his operations shut down in the next week. Can it be done?” I ask, looking at each of them and they nod with smirks on their faces.

“Well, then. Get to it.” I say and walk out with a small smirk on my face. Now to tell the members that they are needed. I walk towards the living room when the front door opens with

a bang and I stop in my tracks.

“What the f**k are you doing here?” I shout as she pants with a look of her face. I walk towards her and grab her by her arm and pull with me.

“Where is he?” she roars. I look around, and some of the members are looking at us in

curiosity. I wince before turning to look at her.

“Not here. Come with me.” I say through gritted teeth, and she comes with me. Not that I’m

giving her a choice as I drag her to the office.

I shove her into the office and slam the door behind me. The men all jump up as they see who

it is.

“Chloe, what are you doing out of the hospital? Where the f**k are the guards I sent to f*****g

protect you?” I scream at her as I pant, balling my hands into fists. I swear to sweet baby

Jesus I am going to kill her.

“Who do you think bought me here? Seriously, Courtney, being pregnant is going to your brain.

Anyway, where is that snake, Storm?” She hisses and I look from her to my dad and he is

fuming.

“Why would you be looking for Storm?” I ask her and she scoffs and walks to the sofa and plops herself down and winces.

Her head is bandaged, and she is still in her dirty clothes. I wrinkle my nose at her. She is

filthy.

“Because.” She bites her bottom lip.

“Because what?” I grit out as I look at her. Kaden comes closer to me and he is glaring at her,

but then again, so is everyone else.

“He tried to kill me. I’m sorry for what I did to you and Kaden and you to da … Wolf. I was never pregnant with Kaden’s baby. I loved Storm. I thought he loved me. But you don’t try to kill the one you love.” She chokes and covers her face with her hands as she sobs.

I don’t think I just move closer to her. I may not like her, but I can’t stand seeing people upset. I sit next to her and pull her gently into my arms. She is like me now. She has lost her mom too.

“I’m sorry, Courtney, I really am. I didn’t want any part in this. I was doing what my dad and

mom asked of me and Max. I never wanted to hurt anyone. I just wanted to make my family

happy.” She sobs and trembles. I have tears burning in my eyes as I sigh and shake my head.

“Chloe, you can’t stay here. The club has ridden to Grim’s. Grim has captured them. We know who Storm is and what he tried to do. Chloe, look at me.” I say to her and she sniffles and looks at me, her eye are red and she is hiccupping. These aren’t fake tears.

“What do you want to do? Storm thinks you’re dead. We need to keep it that way until the last possible moment. Your dad, he thinks you and your mom are both still alive. I’m sorry Chloe Storm killed your mom.” I say to her and she looks at me in shock and bursts into tears again.

I just hold her, rock her and feel the pain she is feeling. I was the same once, still am. I look at everyone in the room and no one says anything. She is like Max. Only trying to please her parents. But I’m not stupid. I know I can’t completely trust her. Only a fool would. But she

could be of use to me.

“I want him dead. I want them all dead. If it wasn’t for my dad. My mom would still be alive. We would have lived a normal, happy life. But no, mom was just as bad. Wolf, I am sorry. I only found out I wasn’t your daughter when I was eight. Mom told me that I couldn’t tell you and
