I watch and wait for this Bratva pakhan to give me his answer. When he doesn’t. I walk towards Benito who is scared shitless. I look at Benito and he is pleading with me with his
eyes.
“Take them back. Clearly, the pakhan doesn’t want to avenge his daughter. Move out!” I shout
as I turn to walk away.
“Wait, you didn’t give me a chance to speak. You asked for an alliance and I will give it to you.
I know what you want, donna. So let’s not be too hasty. After all, you have what I want. So it is
in not just mine but your best interest that you let Benito Bianchi come with me,” Ivanov say
and I turn to look at him.
“You trying to threaten me? That wouldn’t be in your best interest, Mr Ivanov. After all, as you
said, I have what you want. So if I were you, I think twice before trying to threaten me. You
know who my family is, correct?” I say to him and voice firm yet calm, even though I am anything but calm.
“Of course I do. My father is great friends with your grandpa. Surely he told you that? Or did
you find me on your own?” He says and I smirk at him.
“On my own, I’m clever like that. Grandpa gave me a cryptic clue, and I knew he was talking
about you. The beast from the east.” I say and he chuckles and so do the two men on either
side of him.
“Da, your grandpa knows me well. He also knows that if he were to call. I would come. You
see, I don’t need the alliance with you. Our families already have one. But because you have
guts, I will, of course, help you with your little rat infestation. Once I have Hudson and Benito.
So what will it be donna? Will you hand me them and I will help you deal with Grim and his
men, or will you walk away and then have to deal with me and mine as well?” Well, s**t!
“Kind of hard to hand you Hudson. When he is already in with Grim. After all, you know this
already. So how about this? I unleash the full force of the Cosa Nostra and the MCs on you
and your men and I keep Benito and Hudson to do what I please with them? You see, I maybe
new to all this, but I’m a quick learner. I mean, I hope Katya won’t be too disappointed that her
daddy couldn’t bring her justice. Especially when you knew along.” I say to him with a chuckle
and lift my chin higher, glaring at him, and he smirks slightly.

I know every dirty little secret this man has, curtesy of Karma. So this Bratva pakhan needs to
learn I am not just a naïve little girl playing at donna. I can bring him and his entire
organisation to its knees.
“Clever little donna. Very well, I will help you now, but I want your word. I get both Hudson and

Benito. I will take Benito and his men with me now. And as a bonus for playing hardball. I
want Hudson’s mistress. You see, Katya wants to meet the woman who destroyed her life, and
I will give her that. She deserves it, after all. I don’t mind waiting for Chloe. I know you have
your own business with her. So that is the offer. I get all three of them and you get my men and me at your command.” He strikes a hard bargain.
Kaden walks to me and turns his back to the Russians and whispers in my ear.
“We don’t need Chloe.” He says, and I look at him with a smirk on my face.
“I’m using her to get what I want. Then I have no issue with handing her over for Katya to deal
with. Do you honestly think I am falling for Chloe’s act? I’m not that stupid. I know her end
game. She would double cross us, given the chance. So why not use her, then get rid of her
completely? That way, she will get a taste of her own medicine. I mean, do you honestly
believe Chloe didn’t know about Katya? Because I sure as s**t believe she knew and went
after Storm, anyway. They are both as bad as each other.” I tell him and he looks at me and
then nods his head.
“You’re right. The sooner we get this done, the better. Do it, do what you need to.” Kaden says
and I kiss him. He steps back and moves back to my side and I look at Ivanov and smile at
him as I walk towards him and stop in front of him.
He is so much bigger up close. I hold my hand out to him and he looks at me, searching my face for any signs of deception. He won’t find any. Having Chloe on the other side of the world
is much better than her being here.
“So, do we have a deal?” I say to him and he chuckles before taking my hand in his and
shakes my hand.
“We have a deal, now, little donna. What do you need from me?” He says and I smile as Benito
and his men protest and struggle as they are handed over to the two huge men as they take them in to their custody.
“I have the locations of all of Grim’s businesses and other warehouses. I want them targeted.
Then I will attack his clubhouse. I want Grim and Hudson alive. Hudson has to pay for what he
did to my dad. He betrayed my dad, his club president, not forgetting he killed Grim’s wife and
tried to kill his daughter. He has to pay the price for this betrayal. Then, when I’m done with

them both. You can take Hudson and Chloe. Sound fair?” I say to him and he nods his head.
“Da, it does. Ok. Wait for my word, I will have my team ready to move out in twenty–four hours. I will keep Benito alive. I want the full set, you see, before I head back to the motherland. Pleasure meeting you Courtney. You are just like your mother. Let’s move out. Do svidaniya.” He nods his head and walks back to his vehicle, and climbs in.
I step back and watch as the convoy of SUVS and a van drive past us. I watch as the taillights
become tiny in the darkness.
I turn and walk to the SUV and climb in and look out into the darkness. When I hear thuds. I
turn my head and see my dad, Kaden, Fabio, Richie, and the rest on the ground. I reach for the door handle when a cloth is pressed to my nose from behind me.
I try to fight. I grab the gun and use the butt as my vision blurs as I struggle more. I keep hitting, but my movements get weaker. When the cloth disappears. I stumble out of the SUV and stagger towards where Kaden and my dad are lying.
The ground rushes up to my face but I’m grabbed and laid gently on my back on the floor. A blurry face comes into my view as I grow tired.
“Don’t fight it Spitfire. You are safe now. I won’t let Grim or Kaden have you. They don’t deserve you.” I blink to clear my vison and see the smirk on his face. I lift the gun, but he grabs it from my hand.
“Uh–uh. Not so fast. I knew you had balls, Courtney. You would shoot me? Me! I knew the
reason why I liked you. So feisty, I won’t let them have you, Courtney. You are mine, you just didn’t realise it.” He says as he reaches for my face and I feel heavy and dizzy.
“f**k you, Storm. You are a dead man walking.” My vision blurs more and I can’t fight the darkness anymore.
“Sleep Spitfire. We are going far away. Just you and me. No more distractions. I won’t hurt you, Courtney. I love you,” is the last thing I hear as I slip into darkness.
