Chapter 65.
Courtney POV.
After I packed all my clothes and my picture of me and momma. I trudged my luggage down
the stairs, my heart heavy with the betrayal from my remaining family. But no more. I can hear
Wolf and Storm, but I ignore it all.
I see a house key on the SUV keyring and try it in the lock for the front door. The door
opens. I
remove the key and leave it on the side as I pull my large suitcase behind me. Hitting the fob
of the SUV keys and the trunk opens. I haul the case in and shut the trunk. Moving to the
driver’s door.
I give one last look at the beach house and climb in, shaking my head. Turning the key in the
ignition. I root around in the glove box and find my phone.
I sigh seeing all the missed calls and unanswered text messages. I dial Kaden and wait for
the call to connect.
“Courtney, baby. Are you ok? I am on my way to you now. I’m coming baby and they will
******g pay.” He says and I sigh.
“I’ll meet you. I’m leaving now. Well, wherever here is anyway.” I say to him and he chokes.
“You managed to escape?” He asks in shock and I chuckle.
“Not exactly. I told them I was leaving after I stabbed Storm.” I tell him, biting my thumbnail,
and he roars with a laugh.
“Damn baby, where are you right now? Are you and bean ok?” He says and I chuckle.
“Yeah, we are both fine. Still at this beach house sitting in the SUV. Tell me where to meet you
and I will. I want all this to end, Kaden. I’ve had enough of it all.” I say, feeling the sting of tears,
but think of something else.
“Ok baby, I will send you the meeting point. Head there and wait for me. I love you Courtney.
We will face this together. Please, for the love of god drive safely.” He says and we say our
goodbyes just as a text comes in with the name of a motel. I put the details in the GPS and
start the long ass drive to meet with him.
As I drive, I think about everything that I now know. What I don’t get is why not tell me? Why make me feel like a fool? Use me as bait to land Grim? I know there is no point in dwelling on
those questions because no one will be honest with me.

Chapter 65.
I can only truly trust myself and Kaden. I know he won’t betray me. After a few hours of driving
and a few stops along the way. I finally get to the meeting spot.
I pull into the parking lot and shut the engine off. I lean my head back and sigh with relief that I made it at least halfway.
“Ok princess, shall we stretch our legs and get some food?” I ask my bump and she kicks and
I chuckle.
“Oh, someone is always hungry. You are going to be such a big girl.” I chuckle as I rub my belly
and open the door and climb out. Luckily, the motel is next to a convenience store and so I
decide to go and have a look.
I walk towards the sliding doors and stop looking at the bikes that are parked up front. My
eyes widen slightly at the emblem on the tank.
A white skull with a dagger impaled in it. Brothers Of Mayhem. Could today get any worse? A
sly smirk lines my mouth as I look back at the SUV and smirk.
“Sorry sweetheart, it looks like we are going to have to change out plans.” I say, as I turn and
waddle back to the SUV. Climbing in, I turn the key and rev the gas pedal a few times before
shifting the SUV into gear and driving towards the bikes. Just as the store doors slide open. I
turn the wheel and gun it towards the parked bikes.
I crash the SUV through them, hearing them shouting after me. I laugh as I shift gears again
and peel out and back onto the road.
“YEEEESSSSSSS, SUCK IT!” I shout, giving them the finger out the window as I laugh like a
madwoman. I call Kaden and he answers.
“Where are you, baby?” He says and I can hear the rumble of the engine of his bike.
“Change of plan. The Mayhem were at the rest stop. I’m heading your way. You can’t miss me.
The front end of the SUV is bent. I rammed their bikes.” I say with a chuckle and he groans.
“Baby, you could have been hurt or worse, bean could have been. No more craziness, ok? Keep
going straight, we will catch you on the road.” He says, and I roll my eyes. Ok he is right. I could have gotten hurt or worse, our daughter. But he has to understand. I’m sick of all of this.
So what if I rammed into their bikes? Who the f**k cares, because I sure as hell don’t. I’m sick
of running and having people lie and deceive me. Grim wants me well come and get me
mother fucker.
I won’t go so easily. The lid on pandora’s box has been flipped off. The Courtney they think

they know is gone. She is now replaced with the one who is a nasty piece of work. No holds
barred. No prisoners will be taken. They will learn what my momma taught me.
If I have to become that person again, so be it. But it won’t be pretty. Betrayal has a way of making you stronger and releasing the demons you kept buried deep down. They want to see
who I really am. Well, watch your backs, bitches, because I’m coming to show you all, and they
will all f*****g bow.
I see the convoy of bikes heading towards me on the opposite side and I flash the lights. Kaden makes a gesture with his hand and I pull over and wait for them to catch up with me. I’m not waiting long. Kaden pulls up behind me and dismounts and runs to the driver’s side
door and opens it.
“Thank god.” He says as he kisses me and I kiss him back. But I move back too soon and I look at him and he furrows his eyebrows in confusion when I see the others dismount and
walk towards the SUV.
“What is it baby?” Kaden asks and I look from him to the others and smile at War and Dagger.
“I’m taking matters into my own hands. I need to know y’all are behind me?” I say and Kaden hugs me and I hug him back.
“Always baby, I can promise you now I didn’t know. I’m so sorry that they did this to you. I don’t agree with what they are doing. What do you want from us?” He says and I look at Kaden before I unbuckle my seat belt and he helps me climb down and I look at the bikers who are here waiting for their orders.
“No more games. We attack the rest of his warehouses. Then we attack Grim head on. I will not sit idle anymore. What do y’all say? You ready to bring the Mayhem to their knees once
and for all?” I say and they all shout, aye.
I smirk and turn to look at Kaden and he is watching me intently.
“You are not being close to this. I can’t have you in that position.”
“Who said I will be close to it? Besides, Wolf, Chief, Storm, and Ivanov didn’t include us in their plans. We will strike the warehouses now. Fabio. Call them and get them ready to attack.” I say as I look at Fabio and he nods his head with a smirk on his face.
“What? Who? Oh, you don’t mean …” Kaden asks and I look at him.
“Yes, I do. You knew I had teams ready and waiting. Now it’s time to act. No more waiting and being a puppet.” I say as I hear Fabio talking in rapid Italian in to the phone.

“Courtney, they’re ready.” Is all Fabio says and I smile.
“Do it.” Is all I say with a smile on my lips. All of Grim’s warehouses will be hit at once. See,
momma didn’t raise no fool.
