Chapter 68. 

Courtney POV. 

I watch as Chloe plays the part well of the damsel in distress. After all, she does it so often. When I spoke to Grim, I knew he was worried about his little girl. But no matter, this is my game. I make the f*****g rules and no one is going to tell me otherwise. 

I heard Grim drop, and the phone was picked up. 

“Target acquired. What do you want us to do, donna?” I smile at that. See, simple, fast, 

effective. 

The team I had waiting to take Grim out got Chief and the rest out first as word was breaking 

about Grim’s warehouses. So I acted. I told them all I wanted this taken care of before my 

daughter was born and the saying goes. If you want something doing, do it your f*****g self 

and I did. I should pat myself on my back. 

“Sweep the clubhouse, kill them all. Then pile the bodies inside and blow it up. Stage it so it 

looks like a gas explosion or something. You know what to do. Take Grim to the secure 

location. Let me know when he is in his new home.” I say and Alpha one confirms my orders 

and hangs up. 

I look at Chloe, and she is struggling against her restraints with tears streaming down her 

face. 

“See, wasn’t so bad, was it? Stop crying Chloe. You have just saved your life for another day. 

Isn’t that what you wanted?” I say with a chuckle as I pocket her phone and turn to War and 

give him the nod. He will take her back to the cells under the clubhouse, and she will be kept 

there until I hand her over to Katya. 

She screams as she is dragged away, calling after me, but I ignore her as I look at Kaden, Max, 

Fabio, and Richie. 

“That went better than expected, if I do say so myself.” I say looking at them and Kaden is 

biting his bottom lip to stop himself from laughing. 

“Did I ever tell you that you are amazing, baby?” He says, and I wink at him. 

“You did, you it doesn’t hurt to tell me more often. So keep it coming.” I say to him and he laughs as he walks to me before he lifts me up and kisses me.

“I love you too, Venom. Now. We need to prepare for our guest of honour.” I say and he chuckles, kissing my neck. 

“Nope, I’m taking you to bed. You need to rest.” He says and I sigh as he sucks on my throat. The sigh turns to a moan and Kaden growls as he walks with me in his arms. His hands holding my ass as he hoists me higher, my breasts in his face. 

We walk through the clubhouse, and up the stairs I squeal with the motion gripping his 

shoulders. 

“Kaden put me down before we fall down the stairs.” I say and he stops and looks up at me and he smiles at me. 

“No. That will never happen. I will always catch you if you fall.” He says to me and I whimper 

at his words. I kiss him again as we reach the top of the stairs and only break the kiss as we 

get closer to our bedroom. 

We enter and he kicks the door shut behind him. He carries me to the bathroom and sits me 

on the sink vanity. Still kissing me. 

“I’m sorry baby, I need to get you out of these clothes. I need to be inside of you,” he says as he paws at my clothes. I’m throbbing with need. I would be lying if I said I didn’t want him as

He turns, dropping the t–shirt on the floor, and I marvel at his chest as I lick my lips. He chuckles as I watch his hands move to his belt. I squirm on the vanity as I watch him unbuckle his belt as he toes off his boots before he unbuttons his jeans and pulls them down his muscular thighs. I whimper like a b***h in heat.

Once we are both clean, tiredness takes hold of me and my eyes start to droop. Kaden lifts me 

and carries me to our bed. I snuggle into his bare chest and before I fall asleep. 

“Courtney?” he says and I make a hum sound and he chuckles.
