Courtney POV.
I still can’t believe that the plan worked. It has been two weeks since the dons pledged their allegiance to me and Katya or lose everything to their wives. It was definitely a victory and from what we have been told, Chief is pissed. But he hasn’t done a damn thing. It is like he has given up.
But either way, this is his own doing. If he didn’t destroy our family, then there would be no
need to take him down. But we have and we will continue to do it as well as long as he is
clinging to power.
We still have no news about Chloe and we are all getting anxious, especially with my being days away from my due date.
I know she is out there lurking, waiting for the right time to strike. I know she blames me for
her life going to s**t, but it wasn’t anything to do with me. It was all part of some twisted plan
and it backfired spectacularly in her face. Then again, she can’t blame her mom or dad
because they are both dead.
That is not my fault. But I know she is planning something and I have a feeling it will happen
soon.
Kaden and my momma have been hovering like flies around s**t every time I hiss or grumble.
I’m not in labour but it is getting close and bean has reduced her movements, which
apparently is normal. I’m so tired all the time and nap more than anything.
Like now, I have not long woken up. My lower back is on fire and for the love of everything holy,
I wish my back would just crack to release the tension. But no, it won’t. Hell, I can’t even get
out of bed without help. I’m like a damn turtle stuck on my back. But I manage to move to the
edge of the bed.
I stand and sigh as I move to the bathroom when I hear something go pop. I stop and look
around for the sound. Hearing nothing, I lift my leg and feel something warm trickling down my leg. Oh no!
My eyes widen and I place my hand between my legs and move my hand back and the fluid is
slightly pink and extremely watery. Oh f**k.
“KADEN! MOM!” I scream as I look around for something to place between my legs. The liquid
is trickling, and I feel gross. Did I just pee myself?

Chapter 93.
“What is it?” Kaden bursts through the door looking around frantically with his gun ready. He looks from me to the floor and the colour drains from his face just as my momma shoves him
out of the way and walks to me. I’m freaking out.
“Ok, Courtney, look at me, sweetheart. Are you feeling any pain?” she asks, and that snaps. Kaden out of his little malfunction. I shake my head and she smiles softly at me.
“Ok, sweetheart, it looks like your water broke. Come on, let’s get you cleaned up and call miss Kitty, ok?” she says like she is coaxing a child and my brain has just gone blank.
“Kaden.” I say as I reach for him and he kisses my head and smiles down at me.
“It’s ok baby, I’ve got you. Our bean is going to be here soon.” He says with a big grin on his face. With the help of my momma and my man, I enter the bathroom and I’m put on the toilet as momma makes the call to Kitty and she relays her message to Kaden and he turns on the
shower.
They both help me stand and help me strip down and I climb into the shower and get washed as fast as I can. Maybe I did pee myself. I don’t have any pain.
Maybe it was just a little accident. I mean, it is possible I do have a baby using my bladder as
a cushion.
“Come on baby, let’s get you dressed,” Kaden says as he dries me as my mom hands me
shorts, underwear and a loose fitting t–shirt.
“Here, put that in your underwear, just in case.” She says to me, handing me a rather large sanitary towel. It’s bigger than my head and looks like a diaper.
“Just in case what? The baby slips out?” I say to her and she chuckles.
“No, silly. In case more water leaks.” She says and I look away, embarrassed.
“Hey, none of that. This is beautiful. You are going to bring our daughter into the world. Nothing to be embarrassed about,” Kaden says and I nod my head as he helps me with my
underwear and clothes. I walk back to the bedroom and find the floor that was wet is now
clean. Miss Kitty is waiting for me with a gentle, friendly smile on her lips.
“Come and lie down sugar, let me check you over.” She says in her calming southern drawl
and I feel at ease.
I do as told with the help of my momma and Kaden.
“Any tightening?” Miss Kitty asks and I shake my head because I have felt nothing, apart from
backache and I have been having that for ages now. I mean, I started to waddle at five months

and my belly is huge.
“Ok, I’m just going to check something.” She says and I look at Kaden and my momma as
miss Kitty checks my belly and I gasp as more liquid leaks.
“What was that?” Kaden asks, and I bite my bottom lip.
“More liquid.” I mumble and miss Kitty looks at me and smiles.
“Yeah sugar, that is your waters. You don’t have any contractions at the moment but because
your water has broken. You need to go to the hospital. You and bean are now open to infection
and because of the situation with your stress level, you are or should be high risk. I will call
the hospital and explain everything, but they have your notes, anyway. Hang tight sweets.” She
says and walks off to make her calls.
“Maybe they will let me stay at home. No point in going in if I’m not doing anything.” I say and
oddly I’m calm, like really calm. Shouldn’t I be screaming and crying having a breaking down?
Why am I so calm?
“You will be going baby, that is the best place for you and bean. Your bag is ready. The SUV
already has her car seat. Now we just need to get her out.” Kaden says with a smile on his
face before he leans down and kisses me. How is he so calm?
“Ok sugar, it’s time to get you to the hospital. Caitlyn grab her bag and Kaden, we need to walk
her slowly.” Miss Kitty gives her orders and momma does as she is told and Kaden helps me
off the bed and into my sliders.
I take his hand and we walk slowly with each step. I feel more water leak and it feels horrible. I
feel dirty, but I’m still calm. I fight the urge to place my hand between my legs to hold the pad
tighter to my body.
We get down the stairs, and everyone is waiting for us. They all say good luck as we walk
towards the front door.
“Darlin, you will do great. We will be in the waiting room. I love you, Courtney. You are the best
thing that has ever happened to me. Kaden, look after my daughter and granddaughter, you
hear?” Dad says and I smile at him before I hug him and kiss his cheek.
“Thank you, dad. I better get going. Not that bean is in any rush to vacate the premises. But you know.” I say and everyone chuckles as I’m led out and towards the SUV. Kaden helps me
in and sits beside me. My momma gets in the driver’s seat and the club members climb onto
their bikes.
“We will be meeting her soon and I know you will do great, baby. Now rest for a while because
