I stood in the hospital corridor, my back against the cold wall, trying to calm my racing thoughts. My gaze was fixed on the white ceramic floor, but my mind drifted to Sabrina, who lay weakly in that room.
When the doctor approached me, I lifted my head, looking at him with a mix of hope and anxiety in my eyes. Every second felt tense, and I hoped to hear good news about Salitina’s condition. The atmosphere around me felt heavy, as if time was moving slowly in this uncertainty.
“Doctor, how is Sabrina?” I asked without wasting any time.
The doctor, a middle–aged man with graying hair at his temples, looked at me with a serious yet calm expression. “Mr. Nicholas, I must be honest, Miss Sabrina’s condition is quite concerning She is suffering from severe physical exhaustion due to prolonged stress, lack of rest, and irregular medication. This has made her body increasingly vulnerable.”
The doctor’s words hit me like a bolt from the blue, making the world seem to stop for a moment. Anxiety and quilt surged within me. I knew the heavy burden Sabrina was carrying, and now it was manifesting in her troubling condition
I took a deep breath, feeling guilty. “So… how bad is her condition now?”
He folded his arms across his chest, his tone growing heavier. “We found that her blood pressure was very low when she arrived at the hospital. The doctor nodded slowly, explaining that intensive care and appropriate attention were crucial. He advised that Sabrina get enough rest, follow the recommended treatment plan, and avoid stress as much as possible. “So, what should I do, Doctor?” I asked in a low voice.
“Help her find peace. Reduce her stressors, whatever they may be. If she has strong emotional support, it will greatly aid her recovery process. If possible, I also recommend counseling or therapy to help her manage her emotions.”
I nodded, realizing how vital this role was. Creating a supportive and safe environment would be my main focus. Additionally, I was determined to seck professional help so that Sabrina could receive comprehensive care,
I knew the heavy burden Sabrina was carrying. And I understood that most of the responsibility now lay with me.

The doctor smiled faintly, giving me a light pat on the shoulder before leaving me in the corridor.
