Chapter 23
Soon, Logan and Natalie stepped back onto the stage. This time, everything went without a hitch.
When the officiant asked Logan if he would take the woman before him as his wife, through wealth or poverty, in health or
sickness, and love her faithfully, Logan answered with
conviction. After the applause died down, the officiant asked Natalie the same question.
However, she didn’t even look at him. Instead, she smiled
sweetly at Logan.
It was a bright smile, but something about it sent a chill down
Logan’s spine. He had a feeling that the answer Natalie was
about to give would be something he couldn’t handle. For a second, he didn’t want to hear her answer. Not anymore.
Before he could stop her, Natalie answered, “I do not.”
Her words were clear, crisp, and final. Both Logan and the guests could hear her loud and clear. After a brief silence, the
room descended into chaos.
Logan froze, his body stiffening as he looked at Natalie, his face pale. In disbelief, he asked, “W–What did you just say, Natalie?”
“I said I don’t want to marry you, Logan. Not in the past, not

now, not ever. Because I hate you!” Natalie abruptly let go of his hand and took a step back.
That hit Logan like a knife to the heart. It was so painful that he could barely keep himself upright.
Just then, the doors burst open. Elashes from dozens of cameras lit up the room as a flood of reporters surged inside. Microphones were shoved in Logan’s face as questions came at
him like bullets.
All of them were about what Logan had done to Natalie for
Clara.
As Natalie’s fiancé, why had he been so attentive and caring to another woman? Had he fallen in love with Clara? If Clara’s
true nature had never been revealed, would the bride on stage that day have been Natalie?
The harsh questions drained the color from Logan’s face, and
he couldn’t even utter a word. For a moment, he felt like he
was seeing what Natalie had gone through when she was surrounded by reporters. He finally understood her pain.
However, that wasn’t enough for Natalie. She gave the wedding planner a subtle nod.
Soon, the massive screen behind Logan lit up, showing a loop of messages from a group chat Logan and Jayden had created for Clara. It included the flirtatious conversations and photos between the three of them. What Logan had once seen as

happy moments now made him feel deeply embarrassed.

The shocking revelation quickly sparked gossip and outrage among the guests. Someone even uploaded the pictures and messages online.
In no time, Logan became the target of public scorn. Curses and crude remarks echoed around him.
It was disgusting. Who would have known that the seemingly sensible Logan could be so vile inside? He told Natalie he loved her, yet he was flirting with Clara, who just so happened to be her sister.
The consequences of his actions had finally come back to bite him in the ass.
Natalie felt a brief sense of gratification as she watched Logan being overwhelmed by the onslaught. Yet, it wasn’t quite enough.
So, as the crowd reached a fever pitch, a group of police
ed through the doors. “Mr. Hall, we have reason you’ve been involved in inciting someone to commit
der. Please come with us.”
It was then that Logan realized this was all Natalie’s doing. After all, Clara had already been thrown into the red–light district, and Jayden was behind bars. Only one person knew him well enough to orchestrate this.

Logan hung his head for a long while before slowly looking up at Natalie. His eyes held pain, regret, and a thousand questions he couldn’t ask.
But in the end, he didn’t say a word. Because he knew that whatever he said now wouldn’t matter anymore.
It wasn’t just then. The moment he’d chosen to stand beside Jayden and hurt Natalie, there was no going back. No apology could undo the past.
It had been 11 years since Natalie was first betrayed by the two people she trusted most. It had also been one year since her supposed death.
Natalie had finally chosen her weapon and fought back,
sending everyone who’d wronged her to prison, where they received the punishment they deserved. She was finally free.
After congratulating her on her victory, the system detached from her body and moved on, ready to help the next person in
