Chapter 17
Leora PV
“Grace, what is this
I pointed to a dress placed on my bed.
It was a very beautiful dress. Made of fine blue satin, it is a sleeveless jumpsuit with a high collar like a cheongsam, typical Chinese women’s clothing.
I caressed the dress carefully, afraid that my nails would tear the beautiful dress.
“That’s the dress I prepared for you for an exhibition of classic dresses held by an art institute, which we will attend together,” said Grace in a cheerful tone. She handed me a large paper bag. And this. You’ll have to wear it later.”
“Classic dress exhibition?” I asked confused. I grew up in an orphanage, so of course I’ve never attended an event like that. “I don’t understand that.”
Grace pinched my cheek gently. “You think I understand?” She laughed crisply. “I’ll just bring two or three dresses, you and your partner sit and watch us, the models pace back and forth in front of you and after that, we’ll enjoy delicious food and delicious wine provided by the hostess.”
“Wait, wait.” I said confused. “Me and… My partner?”
Him. I’ll be paired with Jayden, that’s for sure, and you’ll be paired with Noah,” said Grace lightly. She pushed the paper bag in his hand at me. “Tomorrow at five in the afternoon, get ready. Noah will pick you up and we will meet him at the Metropolitan building.”
After saying that, Grace came out of my room whistling. Gosh, thy twin brother turns out to have an eccentric girlfriend. I looked at the paper bag that Grace gave me and inside it was a bag and shoes that matched the dress on the bed.
I sighed and grabbed the phone on the nightstand and called Noah.
“Hi, Leo,” said Noah when he received my call. This is the first me you called me.”
I thought, how nice he sounded on the phone. He sounded heavy and authoritative, with emphasis on every word he said.
“Leo
I woke up from my reverie and embarrassed myself because of my thoughts about Noah’s voice earlier. Pervert, I cursed myself.
“Uh, sorry, I was a little distracted,” I said apologetically. “Err… I wanted to ask about the exhibition that Grace mentioned. She said you would be my partner.”
Silence. I furrowed my brows. Why didn’t Noah answer?
“What exhibition?” Noah asked confused, after a few moments of silence hung over our telephone conversation. “I don’t– Oh! What is this? Wait a minute, Leo, I have to check something. Don’t hang up.
I heard the rustling sound of a paper bag being opened and a moment later heard Noah click his tongue, before he returned to the phone.
“You mean the exhibition at the Metropolitan building?” Noah asked, laughing in an annoyed tone. “My secretary just showed me the paper bag containing the shoes and jacket that I have to wear to be your partner at the event.”
ZUIZO.

“No. That’s Jayden, answered Noah “Your twin brother really is to push and tease me. “He knows how busy I’ve been lately and is teasing me instead
“Oh, you don’t have to come if you don’t want to,” I said quickly I was also just informed by Grace. It’s okay, Noah, I won’t bother you
“You want to go?” Noah asked after a while.
“I’ve never been to an event like this,” I said embarrasseilly, Luckily Noah wasn’t in front of me and saw my bright red face. “Events like this are only for rich people, right?”
Noah’s laughter sounded like the tinkling of wind chimes on the other sille of the phone.
Then, get ready, heiress of Jeremiah, I will guide you to attend rich people’s events, because you, as the richest person, will have to get used to it from now on,” said Noali in a cheerful tone that sounded so happy.
1 felt very excited after hearing Noah’s words. This will be a different experience for me and can’t wait for the day to change.
The next day, according to Grace’s instructions, I went to the beauty salon she used today to do my make–up and hair styling.
“Oh, you are very beautiful, Ms. Leora,” said Sandra, the salon owner. “Ms. Grace’s description of you was spot on. She referred to you as Mr. Jayden in feminine form. And he was the most handsome man I’ve ever seen in my life.”
Just smiled embarrassedly hearing Sandra’s words. She took good care of me and when she was finished, I looked at myself in amazement in the mirror.
Who’s that? I didn’t recognize the woman in the mirror. Her face is so bright and beautiful, with natural reddish–brown make–up
and her hair is tied in a natural hun so that a few strands of hair are deliberately messy to make her face look fresher.
The woman in the mirror was not a gloomy–faced woman who was tired and exhausted every time the day ended. Her hair shines healthily, not limp and oily because she always runs out of time to wash it properly.
“You are a naturally beautiful woman, Ms. Sarena,” said Sandra again. “Your silky skin, hair, and all the elements on your face and body are harmonious and ideal. If you want to be a model, you can become a world icon. And what stands out the most is your expressive smile!”
I felt very happy, not because of the praise from Sandra and the staff, but because I realized that I had the energy back from my bachelor days, before I met Peter. At least until first year of our marriage, before my mother–in–law and sister–in–law made my life hell.
Noah’s gaze
It’s
felt strange and made my whole body turn hot and cold when he came to pick me up.
urday, but Noah says he can’t go home because there is some paperwork that needs to be completed for permits to build a hospital.
“You… Very beautiful,” Noah muttered while swallowing hard, making me feel like sinking into the ground.
I had forgotten what it felt like to be praised and looked at with admiration by a man and it turned out to make me feel happy, even though I was embarrassed.
Noah also looked handsome, in a dark blue suit that seemed to be deliberately tailored to my dress.
“How is grandpa?” Noah asked after we were in his car, driving towards the Metropolitan building. “I haven’t called him in two days.”

Chapter 17
“He’s good and healily think the holiday with his golf club wie good too. His face looked several years younger when we had a video call yesterday,” I said.
Grandpa Kent is on holiday in Belgium with the golf club he joined five days ago and it seems he doesn’t want to go back
home yet.
“And you, what have you been up to lately?” Noah asked.
“Me? Mostly just reading. The online course I’m taking started two days ago and most of it is still an introductory program, so I’m trying to learn on my own first,” I said, leaning my head against the back of the chair. “I feel like my brain cells are starting to dull, so I have to sharpen them again”
I feel relaxed. Noah is an excellent driver. Even though it was a Sunday night, the streets weren’t too busy to cause traffic jams and within twenty minutes, Noah had handed over the keys to his Eamborghini to the valet parking attendant.
He extended his arm to me and led me into the magnificent Metropolitan building.
The bottom two floors of the Metropolitan building are open floors which are usually used for exhibitions, seminars and other events that require a large area. Meanwhile, the six floors above are rented out and occupied by several companies that do not yet have their own offices.
“I’ve never been here,” I muttered, “It turns out this building is very magnificent.”
Noah patted my hand that was wrapped around his arm.
“Of course. Our grandfather is very good at processing his assets into profitable investment materials,” said Noah in a half- whisper.
I turned my head and looked at him with wide eyes. This building…?”
“Yes. Grandpa bought it when this building was just being built. The initial investors ran out of funds and only built up to the third floor. Grandpa bought it and continued construction up to the eighth floor,” said Noah. “There are six or seven other similar buildings in other areas like this, all under Jeremiah’s name.”
My head was spinning, trying to calculate how much a building like this was worth, let alone six or seven at once. So, I just followed Noah’s steps, heading towards the exhibition area.
Grace appeared carrying three beautiful dresses on the catwalk. She winked at me as she walked past me and Noah whot were sitting at the front. Jayden was at the front opposite where Noah and I sat
The four of us gathered after the fashion show finished and the auction started. Jayden and Grace, who had changed into their dresses, admired my appearance.
“You guys go enjoy a meal in that room,” said Grace. “Relax and enjoy tonight, Jayden and I will attend the auction for a while because there is something I’m after.”
Jayden kissed my forehead and formed a high five with Noah before following Grace to the room where the auction was being held.
“You just wait here, Leo,” said Noah as he pulled our a chair for me at an empty round table provided for invited guests to eat. Several tables were full and busy with people chatting with each other. “I’ll get you food and drink”
I didn’t refute Noah’s words and sat obediently while observing my surroundings. I saw Noah talking to a woman in the area where food was served. He had a plate in his hand.
“Uh, what’s taking him so long, muttered to myself.
I stood up from the chair and intended to approach Noah, but a hand touched my shoulder.
