Peter Pov
Lizzy and Eva drive me crazy. They grumbled all the way home cursing Leora with various harsh words that were and weren’t in the language dictionary.
My mother was no better. Even though she looked quieter, every now and then she would also nod and confirm Eva and Lizzy’s words so that they became even more enthusiastic about cursing
“Shut up!”
Finally I shouted at them, because I couldn’t take it anymore. My ears really hurt hearing their overlapping words.
Lizzy slapped my thigh hard, so the car almost swerved because was shocked and momentarily lost control of the steering wheel.
“Lizzy, WHAT THE F*CK” I snapped angrily. “You want to cause harm to all of us?”
“Why are you defending Leora, Peter? Why? Do you regret divorcing her now that you know she is the Jeremiah family’s daughter?” said Lizzy in a sharp, high–pitched voice.
“Don’t be crazy, Lizzy!” I said loudly. “You created your own hallucination.”
I’m not hallucinating, d’mmit!” Lizzy snapped. “I saw your eye looking longingly at her in the park earlier!”
“Lizzy, can you watch your words to my child? my mother asked from the back seat. She didn’t sound happy. “You’re too rude!”
Lizzy turned and glared at my mother. She managed to silence my mother with her fierce eyes and my mother just threw her back against the back of the chair while pretending to look out the window.
“I just wanted to negotiate with her about Eva Sue threatened that she would report Eva to the police for pushing her in the bathroom. I didn’t want that to happen, so I decided to talk to her privately, I said, explaining the situation.

Lizzy groaned in annoyance and muttered something. I glanced through the rearview mirror at Eva, who had been silent for a long time after I shouted.
“You’re stupid too, Eval” I said while glaring at her through the rearview mirror in front. “Why are you provoking Leora? Aren’t you sure that she is Jeremiah’s family? She looks so protected and pampered by the family members, so there’s no way she could lie and confess!”
“I just don’t like seeing her become greater than us. She gets big–headed and looks down on us,” Evi argued stubbornly
I shook my head I should be able to have a good relationship with Leora even though we are divorced. She is now an important part of the most influential family in the entire country, I should be able to take advantage of that.
Dmn! I don’t understand what happened at all. How actually, suddenly Leora could become part of this prominent family.
If only I knew that she was Jeremiah, no matter how big Lizzy’s temptation was, I would definitely ignore it and remain loyal

She was so simple and obedient, that it bored me. I felt embarrassed bringing her to parties and introducing her to my friends, so whenever there was a company event that required bringing a partner, I literally just brought her, then ignored
her.
She doesn’t like dressing up and her clothes are also very simple and plain. I was also annoyed with her because she always argued when I complained about her appearance,
I gave her enough money, for household needs and also to take care of herself. But when she left my house and Eva helped me throw away her things, I was surprised because I saw she didn’t have anything valuable. In fact, I saw that she only hard an almost broken lipstick on her dressing table.
What a very wasteful wife. I’m sure that she gave the money tha I had given her to her younger siblings at the orphanage and especially to the sick woman who had been her adoptive mother,
Moreover, recently after my mother and Eva came to live with u, I saw that she was starting to show her true colors. She liked to fight and at one time my mother complained that Leor refused to cook for them, because she wanted to distribute food to the orphanage.
Since that incident, I decided to give all the money that I usually gave Leora for our daily needs, to my mother. I don’t want Leora to continue wasting the money I worked so hard to earn, just for the benefit of the children in the orphanage.
When we got home, Lizzy immediately went into her room and slammed the door. I sighed at her attitude. Sometimes Lizzy can be very childish.
“Peter, I need to talk to you for a moment,” said my mother after seeing Lizzy and Eva go into their respective rooms. “Here!” followed my mother into her room. She made me sit on the bed and close the door tightly.
“What’s wrong, Mom? Why are you acting suspiciously like this? I was confused.
My mother put her index finger above her lips. “Shh, lower your voice, don’t let Lizzy or Eva hear our conversation.”
“What is it?” I asked almost in a whisper.

“I don’t understand what you mean, Mom,” I said.
“You see, it turns out that Leora is part of the Jeremiah family, so it looks like you have to get her back, Peter. She can guarantee that our lives will remain prosperous forever. But, you also don’t let Lizzy go, because she is also from a rich family and she has her own company which is on the rise lately. You have to be able to take advantage of both.”

“Yes,” my mother nodded. “Leora will definitely submit to you because I’m sure she still loves you. Her eyes looked amazed when she saw you You can approach her again quietly behind Lizzy. But remember, you also still have to treat Lizzy well
