I don’t know what possessed me, but I was as still as a statue, w Noah’s lips landed on mine.
No, no, Don’t get me wrong. He didn’t move at all. His lips were only on mine, not doing any other movements like sucking or devouring my lips.
I think, if we stood in front of a mirror, it would look good, just Ups stuck together without moving. Like a classic picture.
However, apparently I was too naive, because the moment Noal moved to release his lips from mine, the tip of his tongue licked the tip of my lips and made me gasp.

My face must be bright red right now, because I felt a hear inside my body. I pushed Noah’s chest lightly and straightened my back, pretending to be indifferent.
“You’re crazy!” 1 hissed in annoyance. “Don’t joke around like that. It’s not funny!”
Noah chuckled and tidied up his work files and laptop, then stood up and checked Mr. Greg’s condition. The man was still unconscious, but his chest movements were regular and his breathing was smooth.
I slumped back against the sofa and closed my eyes. The sofa was wide and quite comfortable, but still, sleeping would definitely not be as comfortable as being on a bed.
“Leo. I think you have to go home,” Noah said, sitting next to me again. “You still have to check the receipt of goods on the project tomorrow.”
I stretched. “No, it’s okay. I’ve sent a message to Mr. Tony to replace me in checking the goods that will arrive tomorrow.”
Then, let’s buy coffee outside. The night is still long and I think I also need caffeine to work on some documents that I need to finish for tomorrow, Noah said.

“You shouldn’t have done that,” I said in a flat tone, trying to hide my irritation.
“Do what?” Noah asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Give your phone number to just anyone, I replied.
Noah chuckled. He put his arm around my shoulder and squeezed it slightly. “It’s okay. It’s not my personal phone number. I have several phone numbers that I use for non–official and family matters.
I felt embarrassed, feeling like I was being too nosy, You’re so stupid, I cursed to myself. Noah was a top lawyer, so there was no way he wouldn’t be aware of his own safety.
I walked faster, so that Noah wouldn’t see my face turning bright red with embarrassment.
My steps stopped when I saw the crowd at the entrance.
“What’s going on?” Noah asked, standing next to me, pointing to the door.

“I think there’s a problem 4 said. “Aren’t those the reporters? Ugh, their camera flashes are really annoying”
“What kind of crazy person would hold a press conference in front of a hospital like this, Noah said with a meer. He took my hand. “Come on, let’s just pass through, don’t mind them”
Just as Noah and I were about to pass through the door, a woman’s scream stunned me.
“AH! LEORA! WHAT A COINCIDENCE
I turned my head and saw Lizzy sitting in a wheelchair, with Peter standing holding the wheelchair behind her.
Peter looked surprised to see me with Noah, then his face turned sour.
“Friends of the reporters, whether this is a coincidence, or God wants to Show justice, this woman is the one who made me fall and almost miscarry, Lizzy said in a hoarse voice like she was about to cry, while pointing at me.
If lightning struck next to me, I don’t think I would be as surprised as I was to hear what Lizzy said.
Before I could say anything, Noah swiftly stood in front of me, protecting me from the camera shots of the reporters. The news seekers were asking questions, noisy and incomprehensible to me.
“Did you push Ms. Lizzy?”
“What’s wrong with you and Ms. Lizzy that you would hurt her?
“Did you know that Ms. Lizzy was pregnant?”
“Is this a love triangle with Ms. Lizzy’s fiancé and you’re jealous of her?”
I turned and saw Lizzy looking at me with a sneer, but she also looked happy. I looked at Peter and the d*mn man looked
away.
He leaned over and said something to Lizzy, which made his girlfriend frown.
“Guys, I will not sue Ms. Leora for this incident, so I hope you all do not write too much news about Ms. Leora. I will forgive her because I understand that she might be jealous of me, Lizzy said sweetly.
The reporters were busy taking pictures here and there and I think they were all just tabloid reporters or small or cheap news portals who preferred gossip rather than finding the truth of their news.
Noah took his phone, then quickly opened the video application and recorded all the faces of the reporters who were jostling to ask questions to me.
Some of the reporters realized what Noah was doing and stepped back.
“Hey, sir, what are you doing? Why are you recording us?” asked one of the reporters angrily.
“Gentlemen, I will record all the questions you ask without ethics, as evidence to sue you all. You have violated Ms. Leora Jeremiah’s privacy, just based on Ms. Lizzy’s baseless statement, said Noah. I have recorded all your faces and tomorrow morning I will make sure that you all will get a summons from the court for disturbing my client’s private area!”
The reporters lowered their cameras and recording devices. Some looked confused and annoyed.
And you, Ms. Lizzy, this time you have gone too far. You accused Ms. Leora without any basis at all and that is enough for me to file a report to sue you, Noah continued to Lizzy.

Of course, all of those scenes became delicious food for the reporters, I didn’t care what would happen later, but my patience was really running low this time.
“Whatever you say, Lizzy. You created your own scenario and dragged me into this crappy drarna. Are you so thirsty for attention that you took advantage of your almost miscarriage situation to invite reporters to cover you? Tsk tsk tsk, you’re really pathetic!” I said calmly, folding my arms in front of my chest.
Noah grabbed my waist and looked at the reporters who looked confused.
“Just write whatever you want about this drama, but remember, you also have to be prepared to face the lawsuit if we feel that the story you made is not interesting!” Noah said with a smirk. He then turned to me. “Come on, Leo, I need a double shot of iced Americano now.”
“Wait a minute,” I said, holding back Noah’s pull. I approached Peter and leaned in close to whispering to him.
“I just want to tell you, I think your life would be better if the baby in Lizzy’s womb was really miscarried, unless you are ready to accept the reality.”
