Chapter 28
This morning I woke up to Jared jumping on my bed and shaking my shoulders to wake me up.
“Oh my God, Jared, are you trying to crush me?” I complained, pushing Jared away.
He had just gotten back from Brazil last night and I didn’t get to see him because I was already asleep.
The night before, Noah and I had been watching over Mr. Greg Was at the hospital until his wife arrived. I was a little tired and went to bed early last night.
I had long since gotten used to the lonely life and accepted that I was all alone. Even though I was close to my siblings in the orphanage and was even adopted by the owner of my orphanage, deep down, I still cried sometimes because I didn’t have any blood relatives.
Now that the Jeremiahs had found me and taken me back, because they were my flesh and blood, my life was very different than it had been before.
Having a sibling, whether a younger or older sibling, was great, but a twin and a boy, that was extraordinary
Jared never acted like we had been separated for decades. He loved me and was very possessive of me.

I handed the iPad back to Jared and got out of bed lazily.

I still have a lot to think about at the hospital now.”

Jared flicked my forehead with a laugh. “Okay, if it doesn’t bother you. I’ll have my men take down such news and shut down those cheap news portals.”
“Yeah, but I think those news will disappear soon too. Noah said he’s used to dealing with things like that,” I said casually. I pulled Jared’s hand from the bed and pushed him towards the door. “Get out first. I’m going to take a shower.
He kissed me on forehead. “Love you, baby Lion!” then run away from my room while laughing, seeing my flushed face.
After finishing my shower, I got ready to go to the hospital construction site. I also brought a stack of textbooks on management that I was studying.
Grandpa Kent came out of his room when I had just sat down on a chair in the dining room. He kissed the top of my head and sat down where he usually sat.
“What happened, my dear?” Grandpa Kent asked while spreading pineapple jam on his bread. “Why has there been so much news about you circulating on social media since yesterday?”
I chuckled and told him the outline of the problems that happened with Lizzy and Peter yesterday-

Grandpa Kent shook his head. “They’re really a thom in my side I think if something like this happens again, I’ll have to step in What’s the name of the company your ex–husband work for and what family is that model named Lizzy from?”
I rubbed Grandpa Kent’s hand. “No need to do that, Grandpa. I can handle it. I was just messing with them, like they messed with me before. I wanted to see how long they could last
“You’re such a Jeremiali, Grandpa Kent said with a laugh. “Okay that’s what you want. But if what they’re doing starts to get dangerous, you have to tell me, Noah, or Jared. You’re not alone anymore and we’re here for you whenever you need us.
“Yes,” I said softly. “I’m the luckiest woman in the world, my dear Grandpa, so I’m not going to waste the opportunity to use my luck”
When breakfast was almost over, Jared just came out of his room, neatly dressed in a shirt and tie. He joined us at the dining table and not long after, Noah arrived too.
1 looked at him and felt my heart move. Noah looked different from his usual casual outfit, dark blue jeans, a light blue V- neck shirt and white sneakers. His hair was still half wet.

I quickly turned my attention back to my salad bowl, as the scene at the hospital replayed in my mind. I don’t want Noah to see my face blushing. D’mn it! It’s not like this is your first time being kissed by a guy, Leora, I thought.
“Leo, come to the hospital site with me, Noah said. “After that, accompany me to the library.”
1 was taken aback. “Library?”
“Hm. A friend asked me to do some research on civil law for a case he’s working on and I thought you could study there. Your have a really tall stack of books on the living room table,” Noah said, wiggling his eyebrows.
I stared at him in confusion. Was he serious, asking me to the library? Why not take me to an aesthetic restaurant or cafe, where he could do his research and I could study, while we enjoyed delicious coffee and cakes and listened to some soulful music? He has strange taste.
“No wonder you haven’t been able to get a girlfriend until now, Noah,” Grandpa Kent said mockingly. “You brought a beautiful woman to the library? Oh my!”
Jared and I burst out laughing seeing Noah’s stunned face hearing Grandpa Kent’s words.
The lively and laughter–filled atmosphere of the dining room on that bright morning warmed my heart and made me excited.
Noah and I went first in Noah’s car. He brought my books and put them in the back seat.
“Should we go see Mr. Greg again?” I asked, opening the iPad. “He seems more stable now that his wife is here.”
“We’ll go tonight, after we get back from the library, Noah said. He turned to me. “By the way, you don’t mind, do you?”
I turned to him and raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean, mind?”
“Going on a date to the library?”
Thud! My heart throbbed. A date?
“Uh, why do you call it a date?” I asked, acting nonchalant.
“Because it’s a date for me.” Noah replied casually.
I shrugged. “No, I don’t mind. Besides, I need to study and the library is definitely the place for that

I didn’t notice, but Noah’s hand lifted from the steering wheel and caressed my cheek. I was stunned

I felt my face heat up, but pretended it was nothing and just shrugged.

When we arrived at the hospital, Noah and I immediately inspected the ongoing construction work.
“Don’t stand under the work that is located in a high place,” Noali said. “It could be dangerous. Just watch from a distance. Ell go to the back to control the work in the VIP pavilion.”
“Yes, Noah. Come on, you say that over and over again every time we come here,” I said, pouting. Why is Noah more talkative than my grandfather now.

The work was almost 80% complete and I was very enthusiastic. Grandpa Kent, Jared, and Noah have also started mobilizing the management to open up opportunities for doctors who want to join. I feel optimistic, at most in two months, I can start opening this hospital.
“Leo Noah called from the back of the building, after an hour. “It’s almost time for lunch. Let’s go somewhere for lunch. then come back here for a bit and then we’ll go to our date.”
