Chapter 8
I sat on the couch, coldly watching Ethan kneel before me.
He cautiously took my hand.
“Olivia, your birthday is next week. What would you like as a gift?”
“Was it interesting? Watching my humiliated video while you fucked her?”
He froze, his eyes immediately reddening.
“I… I… I didn’t mean to, Olivia. I was drunk that night and said terrible things to Madison. Hit me, please. I was wrong. I’m so sorry, Olivia.”
He guided my hand to slap his face.
“I want a divorce,” I said calmly, pulling my hand away.
“What did you say?” Ethan abruptly stood up.
I looked directly into his eyes and repeated slowly, “Ethan Lockwood, I want a divorce.”
“Why?” His eyes darted anxiously, his fingers curling into tight fists.
I laughed bitterly. How could he even ask why?
“Olivia, you’ve forgiven me so many times before. Why not this time?”
“I truly realize my mistake now. Let’s not get divorced, okay?”
“Madison is pregnant. Once the baby is born, I’ll bring him home for you to raise. We’ll tell everyone it’s ours.”
I stood up and slapped him hard across the face.
“Do you think I’m some kind of desperate, pathetic woman?”
“The first time you cheated, I forgave you because I was stupid enough to believe your lies.”
“But after that, my heart was already dead. I didn’t stay because I was forgiving–I stayed because I stopped caring.”
And because I’ve been quietly transferring your assets to my name.
You’re about to become penniless.
These last thoughts I kept to myself.
“No, you still love me. Olivia, don’t you remember? You gave up returning to your world for me. You nearly killed yourself trying to save me. You valued me more than your own life.”
He clutched my sleeve desperately.

I laughed bitterly. “So because I loved you so much, you felt entitled to hurt me repeatedly?r
Later, Ethan spent the entire night kneeling outside my bedroom door,
In the morning, he’d even prepared breakfast.
I didn’t spare it a glance, just grabbed my purse and drove straight off.
There was no way I’d let Madison off the hook.
Anyone who insulted and humiliated me would pay the price.
But what I hadn’t expected was-
I was getting fucking kidnapped.
When I woke up, my hands and feet were bound to a chair. Madison was unconscious just a few feet away from me.
The boat cabin rocked back and forth. I sighed and closed my eyes to conserve energy.
This wasn’t my first rodeo with kidnappings.
It was simple–wait for someone to bring the ransom money.
No big deal.
But Madison was a different story. Little Miss Perfect had obviously never faced anything like this before.
The moment she opened her eyes, she started wailing dramatically.
“Let me go! Do you know who I am?”
“When Ethan gets here, you’ll all be dead, I swear to God!”
If there’s one thing kidnappers hate, it’s entitled, arrogant idiots who don’t know when to shut up.
Two hard slaps later, Madison’s face was swollen like a balloon.
These guys didn’t believe in being gentle with women–they used full force.
Tears streaming down her face, she could barely speak through her whimpering.
Then she turned and saw me, completely unharmed.
Her indignation flared instantly.
“Why aren’t you hitting her?” she demanded of our captors.
One of the kidnappers rolled his eyes.
“She’s prettier than you.”
