Chapter 85
Celeste raised her head when she heard the commotion.
A man in his 40s stood before her, dressed in blue. He was nearly six feet one and looked quite
strong.
Celeste pointed to the nearby examination chair. “Please sit down here. I’ll take a look at you.”
The man settled onto the examination chair, loosening his shirt to reveal his skin to her. “I’m not sure if I ate something wrong, but I’ve broken out in rashes all over. I visited other
hospitals, but they were unable to determine the cause.
“They said you’re a skilled doctor, so I came to see you.”
Celeste glanced at him. “Roll up your sleeve and let me take a look.”
The man quickly released his grip on his collar and pulled up his right sleeve, holding it out for
Celeste to examine.
She decisively said, “It’s an allergic reaction.”
“An allergic reaction? No way! I’ve had this for a while. I’ve seen doctors for almost a week, but nothing’s improved. They never said it was an allergy!”
“Well, it’s definitely an allergy. But it’s not your usual kind of allergy.”
Rowan leaned in, his eyes scanning the back of the man’s hand. “It’s a paint allergy. People who work with paint for a long time build up a tolerance, but they’re still not completely immune to reactions from new materials.‘
Celeste smiled, clearly impressed. Rowan didn’t miss a thing. It seemed like he knew his stuff.
“May I ask what you do for a living?” Celeste lowered her gaze slightly. “Does it have anything to do with your work?”
“I work in furniture. I do come into contact with paint regularly, but I’ve been on a break
recently. It’s been a while since I’ve handled any paint.”
Celeste took his pulse and said calmly, “It’s definitely an allergy. I’ll prescribe three doses of medicine for you. Use the topical ointment as well.
“Come back for a follow–up after you’ve finished your medicine, and remember not to eat any seafood during this time.”
The man’s expression darkened. “What happens if I eat seafood?”
Before Celeste could speak, Rowan’s serious voice cut through the air. “It will worsen the

condition. At best, it could cause difficulty breathing. At worst, you’ll experience shock or even
death.
“So you must follow the doctor’s advice and avoid eating anything out of the ordinary.”
The man in blue nodded silently in response.
Celeste quickly printed out the prescription and handed it to Rowan. “You go ahead and get the medicine ready for him. I’ll be right back. I just need to use the restroom.”
Rowan replied, “Got it.”
After Celeste left, the man in blue kept his eyes on her retreating figure. A cold, devilish smile slowly crept onto his lips. The expression was unnoticed by anyone.
When Celeste returned, the man in blue was waiting for his medication, and a new customer
had arrived.
She gave the man in blue a glance before her attention entirely shifted to the new patient. She asked, “Hello, what’s bothering you?”
“Are you Ms. Morin? I’m Annie’s aunt. She asked me to come see you.”
Celeste instantly remembered that Annie had mentioned a few days ago that her relative might be coming for a consultation.
“Ah, you’re her aunt! Please, have a seat.”
“Thank you.”
Annie’s aunt, Matilda Cooper, settled into the examination chair and began explaining her
symptoms.
Celeste quickly made a diagnosis after taking Maltida’s pulse. “Your condition isn’t too severe, but you’ll need acupuncture. I assume you’re not afraid of needles, are you?”
“No, not at all. Don’t worry about me. Just focus on getting me better. I’m fine with whatever treatment you think is necessary.”
Celeste gently patted her hand. “Don’t worry. It’s not a big issue.”
