Chapter 92
At the clinic, Celeste inserted the needles into Zander’s acupoints and began twisting the needles to stimulate the points, followed by bloodletting through pinpoint pricking.
This wasn’t the first time Celeste had treated a patient who went into shock due to an allergic
reaction.
Her grandfather had also suffered from an allergic shock years ago, far worse than Zander’s condition. Celeste and her senior, Gabriel, had been the ones to save him, using the same method of bloodletting.
Meanwhile, Rowan was busy dispersing the crowd outside. “If you’re not here for treatment, please leave immediately! Don’t obstruct the entrance. A stampede could happen!”
Some people began to disperse after his efforts, but many elderly folks remained, gossiping and speculating.
Thanks to Celeste’s relentless efforts, Zander finally regained consciousness. When he opened
his eyes, Celeste’s heart, which had been suspended in anxiety, finally found relief.
After the treatment room door opened, Betsy hurried inside.
A few men helped Zander to his feet and guided him to sit at the consultation desk. Celeste planned to prescribe a few more doses of medicine, but Betsy stopped her.
“My son only ended up like this because of your medicine! How dare you give him more! Are you out of your mind?” Betsy’s face was full of agitation, her expression icy and cold.
Celeste explained, “His condition requires more medication, or it won’t heal completely. My treatment just now was only a temporary measure to stabilize him.”
“Then, how do you explain his fainting?” Betsy stood by Zander’s side, shouting at Celeste. ” Not only did you fail to treat him, but he also went into shock after taking your medicine! Let’s be fair. Doesn’t this mean that your skills are questionable?”
The crowd began chiming in with their own comments.
“She’s clearly a quack, yet people praise her like she’s some sort of genius!”
“Exactly! We should all stop coming to this clinic!”
“Her medical skills are barely enough to treat a common cold, and she wants to heal patients?
That’s absurd!”
“She’s nothing but a quack!”
The elderly people loudly voiced their criticisms, and the crowd quickly joined in, echoing the

same sentiments.
The wave of scorn from the crowd struck Celeste as somewhat amusing. It seemed like everything that had happened that day was a part of some sort of elaborate plan.

Who exactly was behind it remained unclear, but there was no doubt that this was all part of a
scheme.
“Zander, be honest with me. Did you eat any seafood?” Celeste ignored the murmurs and focused her attention on him.
“I did eat some, but my mom didn’t know about it,” Zander admitted, his brow furrowing slightly. “Still, you never told me I couldn’t eat seafood!”
“What did you say? Ms. Celeste didn’t tell you what?” Rowan was the first to speak out in disagreement. “Have you forgotten, or are your ears not working? We repeatedly warned you not to eat seafood that day! You even asked us why you couldn’t eat it!”
“I never asked such a thing. Don’t make things up,” Zander said seriously. “If I couldn’t eat it, why didn’t you tell me beforehand? I genuinely didn’t know about it!”
Celeste felt a heavy weight in her chest after hearing his words. She’d been set up on day one. There were definitely predators circling her, ready to pounce. She had known something like this could happen, but she hadn’t expected it to come so soon.
Just as she was about to respond, a deep voice cut her off. “Isn’t there surveillance? We can check the footage to see who’s lying.”
