Chapter 5
Andy looked down and said, “Mom, is this your useless son? He is indeed fierce.”
I saw Jasper was about to take action again, so I shouted loudly, “Enough!”
I helped Andy up and frowned at Jasper, “If you don’t leave, I will call the police, and you wouldn’t want that, would you?”
Jasper bit his lip tightly and remained silent.
I hurriedly pulled Andy into the elevator.
When I saw Jasper did not chase after us, I finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Then, I crossed my arms and examined Andy. “Andy, you’ve gone
bad.”
Andy’s face flushed red, and he seemed a bit helpless. “I just wanted to help you get out…”
I nodded. “I understand.”
He pressed his lips and did not say anything more.
I had planned to treat Andy to a meal, but it ended up being delayed until Tracy returned.

I hadn’t even had her grand meal yet, but she had already joined me in treating Andy to dinner.
Tracy was eating steak heartily and nodding in satisfaction. “Mmm… Really good.”
Andy quietly peeled shrimp for me and Tracy.
A soothing violin piece was played in the restaurant.
If it hadn’t been for this unexpected incident, tonight would have been a wonderful night.
After we left the upscale restaurant, we came to a fountain square.
It seemed that something had happened there, as many people were gathered around watching.
I held the keys and said, “I will go to the parking lot to bring the car over.”
Just then, a male voice from a loudspeaker came through. “Catherine, I love you!”
I paused, and then goosebumps rose on my skin.
It was Henry.
He held a huge bouquet of roses and half–knelt in the center of a heart shape made of candles.

Everyone turned to look at me.

Henry gazed at me with deep affection. “Catherine, I was wrong.
I will change and treat you well from now on.
“Would you marry me again?”
As he spoke, he pulled out a small velvet box.
Inside was a diamond ring.
Tracy teased me, “Is this how he won you over in the first place?”
I helplessly rubbed my forehead. “I was foolish back then.”
I was young and thought love could overcome anything.
In reality, only money could make me happy and secure.
Seeing that I didn’t respond, Henry became anxious.
“Catherine, I know I was wrong. I beg you for another chance to make it up to you.”
People around us started to cheer.
“Lady, that young man seems quite sincere. Can’t you forgive him?”
“Yeah, you have misunderstandings. Just talk it out.”

“If it were me, I would agree.”
“Say yes! Say yes! Say yes!”
The crowd’s cheering became increasingly excessive.

Not only did I show irritation, but even Tracy’s face darkened.
She lowered her voice and asked me, “Do you want me to help you?”
Tracy practiced karate and could easily lift Henry with one hand.
I shook my head, not wanting to drag her into this mess.
When Henry saw me approaching, hope ignited in his eyes, but what I said left him utterly desperate.
“Henry, I reiterate. We are divorced, and there’s no way back.
“Do you want me to expose your dirty deeds in front of all these people?”
Henry’s expression changed instantly.
“This man…” I chuckled, preparing to speak, but he interrupted
- me.
“Catherine, do you have to force me to death?” He looked at me with a face full of pain.
Chapter 5
But what did his pain have to do with me?
He was the one who caused all of this!
How could he still have the audacity to pressure me in front of so many people?
My gaze turned even colder.
“Then go to the hell.”
Just then, someone shouted, “The police are here!”
